Behold the brilliant terror of the DDR alarm clock
The standard "snooze button" is for the lazy. You're not lazy, are you? You want to work for those extra seven minutes of rest in the morning. Well, with the DDR Alarm Clock Finger Dance Alarm Clock you can honorably earn the extra sleep: just turn on your brain when the alarm chimes, key in the lit panels in order and you may go back to sleep.
Though it highlights the £9.99 ($16) cost, the product description doesn't detail if the pattern is randomly generated every morning. If it's a set pattern, your hand's muscle memory will eventually key it in faster than the frantic feet of that little boy playing DDR on ludicrous difficulty down at the cineplex.

i'll take 7. but i think this is like the snooze button that will actually wake you up cuz if you have to follow lits to go back to sleep then i'd rather just stay up cuz i cant think that much when im half asleep.
MrKlorox @ Jul 7th 2009 1:47AM
That's the point.
marcod @ Jul 6th 2009 9:50PM
Interesting... I wonder what happens when you enter the Konami code on there...
WINterfang @ Jul 6th 2009 9:53PM
Decepticon?
Ausohoj @ Jul 6th 2009 10:33PM
i was just thinking that. Konami code FTW
Morisato @ Jul 7th 2009 12:40PM
Impossible... I see no B or A buttons.
ducttapeBigSexy @ Jul 6th 2009 9:51PM
Complicated snooze button? Sounds like I'd just turn the alarm off and go back to sleep instead.
WINterfang @ Jul 6th 2009 9:52PM
Well when my DS alarm clock sounds, I have to wake up, open up the screen, take the stylus, tap the screen and set a couple more minutes manually.
If I can endure this 3 times a day, I'll make that DDR clock my bitch.
Leroy_Octopus @ Jul 6th 2009 9:55PM
Really? My alarm never goes off when my DS is closed.
Uncontrol @ Jul 6th 2009 10:34PM
you could also just get the hell up
ArchiGamer @ Jul 6th 2009 9:55PM
Thing probably will like this.
Ficken @ Jul 6th 2009 9:57PM
There was one I saw a month or so ago that was a fake bomb alarm clock. The alarm was a 30 second countdown to disarm the bomb by connecting 4 wires together. If you messed up a loud explosion noise comes out of it.
whylekat @ Jul 7th 2009 12:22AM
Ha that's awesome! Find me a link to that and I'm sold!

This is the worst thing I've seen for sleepers since that clock with wheels on it that runs away.
Jerk Face @ Jul 6th 2009 10:21PM
Dude, those things are fucking bitches, lol.
Shmil @ Jul 6th 2009 11:16PM
If I ever receive one of those as a gift I'm sure the first morning I'll end up taking some advil for a bruised foot after I kick it into the wall as it tries to run away. I often think what life would be like if we had droids like from star wars. If I had an R2 unit it would be soooo dented from frustration.
whylekat @ Jul 7th 2009 12:27AM
I'd hate it, but you gotta admit that run away alarm clock thing is genious!
playwhutyalike @ Jul 7th 2009 12:32AM
Just as long as my sex-droid doesn't run away, we are golden...
Leroy_Octopus @ Jul 6th 2009 10:07PM
I saw a clock a couple years ago with a spotlight on it that shined in your eyes when the alarm went off.
ArchiGamer @ Jul 6th 2009 10:14PM
My college roommate had two separate alarm clocks, one would make his large lamp flash on and off quickly and the other was this circle-thing that he put under his pillow and would vibrate when the alarm went off.
The former was one of the most annoy alram ever.
whylekat @ Jul 7th 2009 12:26AM
Funny you say that.. Attack of the Show featured a a vibrating pillow alarm clock on their 'Attack This' segment tonight.
Rob @ Jul 6th 2009 10:53PM
I wonder how long it will take till someone smashes one if these to pieces?
MrKlorox @ Jul 7th 2009 1:51AM
I could see it happening on the first time. Looks incredibly cheap.
Heavytoka @ Jul 7th 2009 9:41AM
I would end up breaking it in a hungover rage trying to go back to sleep.
Misfit Toy @ Jul 7th 2009 1:11PM
Wow. What'll they think of next?
