Remember that Wii emulator that boosted the graphics up to 720p? Thanks to a recent update, Super Mario Galaxy is now playable on the emulator -- known as Dolphin (get it?) -- and we have to admit, it looks pretty gorgeous. Granted, Super Mario Galaxy was no graphical slouch in the first place, but the extra resomolutions certainly add to the overall experience, and it gives us an idea of what a Wii HD console would be capable of producing.
Check out a video of the Super Mario Galaxy running in HD after the break (don't forget to turn on HD in the player). It's in HD. Did we mention that yet?
To show evidence that YouTube HD videos do indeed run at 480p, I set my display's resolution to 1280x800, clicked the HD button on the video in question, and took a screen capture. As you can see from the link below, the video is not running at 1280x720, as it would have filled the display if that were the case. Setting the video run in full screen only stretches the image, it does not run it at the display's current resolution.
This is what I got when I did the same thing. It's a perfect 1280x720, no stretching. As bm said, "You must either be blind, running your desktop at a 480 res, or have some sort of technical issue with youtube's videos."
Yeah, except it's missing like half the shaders. It looks like shit running on an emulator compared to the real thing, regardless of screen resolution.
Slaziman: eww, just eww. Get away from me. D: That's the worst thing you could ever do to a PS1 game. Running those games at high res turns even the best looking PSX generation games into a horrible, horrible mess of polygons. Eww.

What the hell? That's chugging like a little bitch. Don't give me any of this 'fraps only supports 30fps!' nonsense. And it looks shit. Dolphin is not ready to be used IRL.
it looks worse but you know hows joystick, ninja bashing the console posting the emulator running the game that looks worse than the real game. This looks like shit.
I would love a hi-def version of star fox.. I would buy the next gen wii, If there was going to be a starfox HD, I love that game and with wiimote it could be very very interesting.. Interesting to see what Nintendo will do from here, they have enough reserves to take a risk, I would have though anyway..
this totaly useless this emulator is WIP(work in progress) reviewing emulators in this state misleeds ppl, SMG can now be fully playable but a couple of revisinons later it might not, so just stop reviewing an unfinished emulator, noobs see this and start judging dolphin when in reality it not finished
