MGS4 / Killzone 2 PS3 bundle available ... now!

As per the deluge of tips we received regarding an 80GB PlayStation 3 bundle with Killzone 2 and Metal Gear Solid 4, the Best Buy website is now reflecting the deal. The bundle retains the price of a regular ol' 80GB PS3 ($400), but will include both of the PS3 exclusive titles. Rumors surrounding the 80GB bundles suggest it's an effort to make space for an upcoming PS3 Slim on store shelves -- and considering the $90 worth of free games Sony is throwing at consumers, it's quite possible that shelf space will open for the next console iteration.

Good God why are so many people complaining...? Two of the highest rated games in this generation free with a system and people still bitch and moan about one thing or another.

I'm really losing faith that the gaming community has even a tiny bit of common sense left anymore; even something that is NOTHING but good news gets people butthurt all over the place.

My 360 was $400 at launch and I had no problem with that price. I definitely delayed picking up a PS3 at $600 (and who could blame me?). I got it for $400 and that is more than reasonable.

Awesome bundle tho - two of the best games this gen (although I wasn't a huge fan of MGS4 - I still recognize how amazing an achievement it is)

I have been intending to purchase the $400 system and was surprised by this bundle and thought this was the one to go for. Then, as I researched this new bundle, I came across many articles hinting that this was a last effort by Sony to clear out all the 80GB systems to make room for the slim model. On top of this, when I was calling many stores weeks back about advertised bundles, most of them said they no longer had the bundles, or they stated they've had no PS3 80GB in stock and are not aware of new shipments coming to the stores soon. One associate even told me they usualy have some quantities in stock in store but lately have not had any and have not had any shipped. They could just be stocked at the warehouses. This, now adds to my speculation that maybe indeed a new slim model is coming out since a lot of these stores have not been receiving 80GB "fat" models ever since they ran out in store. So I find some validity in the slim PS3 speculation and hope that one comes out in the next month or so. If it is $400, then I will still purchase it because the slim models can always be sold faster and for more in the future if you decide to sell it for whatever reason.

I just bought a PS3 can I 2 free games aswell. If only I would of known, I'm mad.

seriously, how can you get this bundle knowing that the slim is coming soon? and you can get those games at discounted rates or used. and they're definitely going to be platinum type games offered at a cheaper rate.

Its a shame that they are desperate to sell this piece of trash of a console... lower the price for Gods sake you stupid head rackets at Sony HQ. My gran could market the PS3 better w/ her needle and tread you noobs.

Dame even the Xbox 360 is selling like hot cakes and is the supreme HD console of this generation w/ its graphics and raw power and amazing online mode and all the features which it provides.

Also the Wii is great, as well only my gran and her knitting class plays it which is awesome. And the PS3, my dog wouldn't even touch it even if they give it away for free nor would I.
