Production I.G admits involvement in Dante's Inferno anime
Production I.G is likely a name many anime fans recognize, but, for the rest of you, know the studio has done amazing things in games, too. The company did the animations on Wario Land: Shake It!, and has done a lot with the Tales franchise, among other things. Now, it's taking on EA's Dante's Inferno, as the studio confirmed it's working on that animated project we heard about in March. The info was revealed during an Anime Expo panel this past Sunday (via ANN), with the promise of more info come Comic-Con on July 23. As fans of Production I.G's work, we're anxious to see more. Now, if you'll excuse us, we need to watch that animated scene from Kill Bill about 800 times.

Heh, gotta see this. I love at least 99% of the animated scenes in Kill Bill, the only reason that its missing that one percent is because of how they made Lucy Liu's character look like as an adult and before the crazy "see through his skull" scene, something just screamed off to me about her figure. And their other work is pretty nice too.

I would have preferred higher-tier studios like Kyoto Animation(Haruhi Suzumiya, Lucky Star, Full Metal Panic!:TSR and Fumoffu) or Madhouse(Casshan Sins, Trigun, Death Note, Kaiba). At least they aren't the likes of Bee Train or GONZO.

What's wrong with GONZO? They made Afro Samurai motherfucker!

Higher tier than I.G. really?
Sure, those are all amazing shows you listed (well, except LS, but let's not get into that), but I.G. has regularly proven again and again that they know exactly what high quality animation is.
Better animation does not always equal a better show, but there are very very few who do better than I.G.

"I would have preferred higher-tier studios like Kyoto Animation... or Madhouse..."
Dude, Production IG is a "high tier" studio. Just like those other studios you mentioned, IG makes amazingly high quality animation.

I mean them as how good their anime are. Not how great it looks. IG is mid-tier. Meaning they have a moderately good anime track record.

Sweet, these guys did a buncha Ghost in the Shell stuff. Dante's Inferno is really looking up. Good job EA!

While I'm fine with the prospect of a Dante's Inferno anime one-off, I'm still not sold on the idea of selling off the movie rights before the game was even announced.
This game, still looking like a GoW clone, is on a creeping downhill slope. The "gameplay" trailer didn't help much either (more confusing than the ending battle of Transformer 2!).
Maybe it's just my lack of scrounging up enough courage to pour out my Dante's Inferno-based game idea I created a few years ago to the dying masses. I mean, it's a platformer with original ideas in gameplay, so it HAS to sell in today's market, right?
tl;dr: BUTTHURT (and you're lazy if you can't read five sentences.)

Sounds good to me! I love I.G's stuff.

Cue the anime hater saying EA game has been bought out by the anime industry and claiming this is part of the conspiracy to turn gamers into anime freaks and say don't buy Dante's Inferno in 3...2...1
