and really, in order to understand cricket you must have played it at some point. It's completely too painful to explain it to anyone that only has baseball as a reference.

Maybe having a regular ol' baseball bat was too boring, so Valve mixed it up a little.

...But it's probably a Shaun of the Dead reference.

I don't care a bout a freaken bat, Where is my SAXOPHONE!? it would make better sense to have a saxophone instead of a bat right? lol

That would be awesome. Actually, I'm all for random weirdass weapons in the first place. During a zombie invasion, it's not realistic to have a bunch of guns and ammo lying around...it'd make much more sense to have to make do with the random shit you've got. Like saxophones. But I guess that would require a total gameplay change, and I happen to also like the FPS focus.

I'm pretty sure there is a baseball bat. But a cricket bat? Yeah, all we need is one of the finales being set to Queen's "Don't Stop Me Now".

Protip: Team Fortress creators and current Valve employees Robin Walker and John Cook are Australian ex-pats, and are probably excited for the start of the Ashes.

It's just a mock image because of the Ashes.
And not all English people like (and understand) cricket. I am English and, to be honest, I can't stand the sport. Any sport that has an extended break in play for tea is not worth my time

I hope their arn't too many weapons in L4D2. One of the things I liked about the first one was how limited you were. Not that many weapons, ammo(you ran out pretty quick on expert if you were not watching your ammo) but I would like a meele(?) weapon... maybe!
