We've previously
said and
shown all we need to about the quality of this downloadable movie tie-in title. The "
make it expensive" trick won't work this time, like it did with Part 1. If there's a burning desire to purchase a downloadable title in your heart, there are plenty of better games on both systems to drop coin on.

Let me start off by saying I actually thought the Watchmen movie was great
*puts on flameproof suit*

It wasn't the greatest movie ever made, and there sure was a lot oh hype built that it was never had a chance of living up to, but I didn't think it was bad. I was a fan of the graphic novel and I thought it was a fairly smooth translation to the big screen.
Damian @ Jul 7th 2009 5:44PM
Having loved the graphic novel, i thought the movie was really good, although some little things were changed that i thought were odd(the ending for one),it was my favorite movie of 09.
bioadam @ Jul 7th 2009 5:48PM
The movie was great. I'm sure it would have been even better if I hadn't read the graphic novel and known all of the plot twists. That being said, I might check out the Watchmen game when the disk hits the bargain bin.
Jason Statham (Aka Vegeta) @ Jul 7th 2009 6:04PM
If you guys thought the theatrical version was great, you'll absolutely love the Director's Cut. In my opinion, it's a much better film.
SilverFireshot @ Jul 7th 2009 6:17PM
I actually thought the movie's ending worked better than the graphic novel's, and I'm a big fan of the GN.
Rentaro @ Jul 7th 2009 11:28PM
I saw the movie without reading the GN and enjoyed it very much. Enjoyed it enough that I went out and bought the GN.
aReEeNeN @ Jul 7th 2009 5:24PM
The re-release will look up and shout save us...And I'll whisper...no!
The Dark Wayne @ Jul 7th 2009 5:27PM
I wonder if the disc for parts 1 and 2 will give you another chance at achievements if you already played part 1
Courtney @ Jul 7th 2009 5:59PM
Are...are you looking for an excuse to play this travesty a second time?
The Dark Wayne @ Jul 7th 2009 6:30PM
hey man, i spent 300 dollars to be Rorschach at the movie's midnight premiere, sucky or not ill play this game, also i kind of enjoyed it. But i wont make the mistake of buying it thanks to gamefly
Rentaro @ Jul 7th 2009 11:29PM
Is he Batman, or is he Rorschach?
*Head explodes*

I liked the first Watchmen game, but it was $5-$10 too expensive. It also needed a lot more moves and counter attacks, but it was kinda fun. Dunno if I want to get the 2nd one yet though.
Neuromancer @ Jul 7th 2009 5:45PM
I'm in the same boat, it was fun and definately visually impressive but now that the excitement surrounding the movie has worn off I'm not real into the idea anymore.
Damian @ Jul 7th 2009 5:41PM
I did not know Vin Diesel was in Watchmen.

Petebot330 @ Jul 7th 2009 5:48PM
He cameoed as Hooded Justice.
Remen @ Jul 7th 2009 5:59PM
Haha Damian, that was my first thought as well.

I would pay$30 for the Blu-ray/PS3 game bundle....but damn sure not $50...so I'll wait until Amazon list that and I will make my decision then.....otherwise I'll just get the Blu-ray for $21
wolverine @ Jul 7th 2009 5:51PM
game: sucked balls
David @ Jul 7th 2009 5:52PM
Yay?
Doomtrain @ Jul 7th 2009 5:55PM
I'm sorta torn. I did like the movie and would like to see what had been left out of the theatrical release. I haven't played the game, so I can't say for sure whether or not that it's worth the $50 price for the whole shemoan. I might just hold off until it drops $10 smackers or so. Who knows, when Batman: Arkham Asylum launches in August (hopefully Squeenix won't push the game back any longer), The Watchmen will drop in price. We'll see.
RedSonRising @ Jul 7th 2009 6:54PM
glad theyre releasing this on retail disc, i dont wanna clog my hdd with this game. i love ishtty beat-em ups tho so ill probably enjoy it despite the crappy reviews..
Kdiggy @ Jul 7th 2009 7:12PM
Avioding this game like the plauge. The graphics novel was great.. the movie was pretty good also... but the games stink like poo
Charlie_Six @ Jul 7th 2009 9:23PM
Part 1 had great production values, but was terrible in terms of design. Still, I hope part 2 at least has Dr. Manhattan as a playable character.. when you activate the God mode cheat code.
