Play World of Warcraft Peggle now for free
So, Blizzard and PopCap have teamed up create 10 World of Warcraft-themed Peggle levels, which you can grab now for no money whatsoever. Exciting news? Maybe. But we can't help but wonder at what point the DEA needs to step in and start regulating this kind of stuff.
Like, this is is a combination of Peggle ... and World of Warcraft. At what point does, "Oh, sweetie, you're so addicted to Peggle! <giggle>" become, "You just blacked out on the keyboard for the 17th time, and I'm leaving you for Tracy and taking the kids with me"?

So is this an update or a seperate game or is it in-game Peggle for WoW or what? Because if I can get this via update on my iPhone version, then AWESOME.
Storm Eagle::The Blood Edge @ Jul 8th 2009 10:39AM
Nevermind. I always forget to click the picture. But still, AWESOME.

In-game Peggle for WoW already exists (and it's free!), and I thought that's what the post was about. But no, now they've got WoW in my Peggle!
notworksafe @ Jul 8th 2009 12:54PM
Seems like it's just a standalone version of the Peggle addon for WoW.
Arashikou @ Jul 8th 2009 3:43PM
Nope - there's no overlap between this WoW-themed Peggle and the Peggle addon for WoW, actually. They have separate levels, this doesn't have the "talent points" system from the addon, etc.
Variable Gear @ Jul 8th 2009 10:36AM
Might want to check that last sentence there, Justin.
In other news, I'm really into Peggle, and not into World of Warcraft at all, so I'm not sure what to think about this. I'm sure the other commenters will give me a variety of options to choose from.
Archon (PSN: Archonik, XBL: DarkARHN) @ Jul 8th 2009 10:38AM
If Tracy is a she, my fiancee may leave me for her anytime she likes...
...As long as I can go too.
Quiggy @ Jul 8th 2009 10:41AM
Leave? I don't think it means what you think it means.
aMac @ Jul 8th 2009 10:41AM
PC Only. Booooo.
Daviesifier @ Jul 8th 2009 10:46AM
I got all excited just to be let down when I read the fatal words "PC Only". I neeeds me a fix of Peggle.
shane86 @ Jul 8th 2009 10:52AM
boooooooooooooo
Shagittarius @ Jul 8th 2009 11:31AM
LOL mac.
Spike @ Jul 8th 2009 11:50AM
what serious gamer owns a mac anyways?
pickleman77 @ Jul 8th 2009 12:12PM
It runs great in CrossOver on a Mac...
aMac @ Jul 8th 2009 12:39PM
Without turning this into a PC x Mac debate, any modern Mac can run Windows and play PC games just fine, so we can play anything you can.
I just don't feel like rebooting to play Peggle, that's all!
Roto13 @ Jul 8th 2009 1:05PM
"what serious gamer owns a mac anyways?"
Peggle isn't exactly a 'serious game.'
rTwelve @ Jul 8th 2009 1:34PM
I'm a console gamer (oh gawwwwwwd), and the vast majority of "PC" games I've played have usually been on Mac: SimCity, StarCraft, Spore, WoW, etc.
Of course, this was irrelevant until I actually got a Mac last year, and again, there is Boot Camp.
dark_inchworm (on Steam!) dark inchworm (on XBL!) @ Jul 8th 2009 10:44AM
I love Peggle... I love WoW... I cannot resist, nor will I try.
The Baron @ Jul 8th 2009 10:51AM
So now not only is there Peggle in my WoW, but WoW in my Peggle?
MystileArmor @ Jul 8th 2009 10:56AM
It's like having cocaine in your meth and some meth in your cocaine.
The_Punisher @ Jul 8th 2009 1:27PM
No, actually, not at all.
Trust me on this.
[tre] @ Jul 8th 2009 10:52AM
Now if only PopCap would be so nice as to make a Mac-compatible web version....
Storm Eagle::The Blood Edge @ Jul 8th 2009 11:01AM
Here, here! I downloaded it on my PC here at work but I've got 2 macs at home and I want to be able to play it there. Why have you forsaken us PopCap?
THE WICKER MAN (BWF) (GT: Dalek Prime) @ Jul 8th 2009 3:12PM
Me too! I want to play this and valve peggle, but I only have a mac. :(
Ekauq @ Jul 8th 2009 3:14PM
well it's not the WoW levels but there is a mac full and trial version

Ugh, this is the second site I've read this news on....and neither of them included a link. Am I missing something?
For everyone else searching, it took me a bit, but I found it: http://www5.popcap.com/promos/pegglewow/
Ihavepants @ Jul 8th 2009 12:58PM
In Joystiq articles you can click either the main image or the "source" button to go to the topics site.
Oneiroi @ Jul 8th 2009 1:00PM
Opps!
I didn't see the source link and don't usually click on images.
Thanks for letting me know!
Roto13 @ Jul 8th 2009 1:07PM
I'm all about free Peggle. :P
DBuck_Eye @ Jul 8th 2009 1:26PM
I'm leaving you for Tracy... does that mean the addicted person is a girl, or is married to someone who is bicurious?
Gel @ Jul 8th 2009 2:57PM
Does anyone else think it is sad that people create these games to fill Dead Time in a title that Customers pay a fixed fee per month for?
Why do MMORPG players accept these systems?
I enjoy World of Warcraft a lot, but it totally annoys me the way they exploit the player base.
It annoys me even more that so many people, while they may not like it, passively accept it.
Lucky @ Jul 8th 2009 3:01PM
I have to confess this. I hate Peggle.
I downloaded this version, in hopes that I'd finally "get it", but no. The balls still go nowhere I want them to, the catcher in the bottom mocks me and the Random Number God puts the red pegs in the most annoying places.
It's like Dr Pepper. Me and it just don't belong together.
Ian R. (Orkchop) @ Jul 8th 2009 10:38PM
Wow, is combining these two into one game even legal?! Thank goodness there aren't any achievements in there, attached to a gamerscore, or it'd be unstoppable!
real estate @ Jul 12th 2009 11:06PM
One of the great things about in-game money and virtual economies is that they never went through this whole economic meltdown. So take that to all of those people who think the real world is better then computer games!
