I don't want to buy this, but if it's true that MMJ is in this game I will have to. Dammit...

Really?
You would buy the whole game just to tap away to a single song you like? Why don't you spend that money on a concert ticket or something?

and on top of that, you'd buy the entire game for a My Morning Jacket song?! I could see Queen or Elton John or Kings of Leon but My Morning Jacket? Why not pick a band that's actually, ya know, good?

Hey I have a piece of toast that looks like the lead singer to MMJ, would you like that too? It's $60 and I will send $.10 to the band, which is probably more than they'll make if you buy this 1 game.

You would drop $60 on a game for one song by one band? You're a fool and reason why guitar hero continues to put up the numbers it does.

One big holiday would be awesome to play, but I'd rather wait for several price drops till it is around $20 and then buy it.

MMJ FTW!

Tyler, you lost credibility there by listing Kings of Leon with Elton John and Queen. Sex on Fire was catching the first couple times it was played on the radio, but now I immediately switch the station if KoL is on.

Regarding the game though, since switching to RB, I've had a hard time justifying buying a GH game. I dunno, maybe it's worth a rent or something.

If they included "Highly Suspicious" by MMJ, then I would absolutely say it would be worth the price for just that one song. Look it up people.

since rock band 2 is yet to release in aus and its not sumthing i see any merit in importing rb has got no cred over here

Don't worry dude, I'm doing it for the Gorillaz song. Because they rock (A lot more than My Morning Jacket, but hey, different strokes and all that.)

To Tyler... My Morning Jacket is significantly more talented than the insanely over-hyped Kings of Leon--just sayin'.

It is so fashionable these days to be anti-"big name games". "Don't buy the popular games" the dissenters say. My question is why? Why does it make a rat's ass of a difference what someone spends their hard earned money on, especially if it brings entertainment to their lives. "Oh wait, this game is published by Activision... can't buy it." "Oh, this game should be great... oh wait... EA, shit." Every game should be judged on its own merits. It all boils down to opinion. And we all know that opinions are like assholes. We all have them... yours is just full of shit.

There's a few great ones in there, then the rest is just 'meh.' This is why I appreciate Rock Band. Instead of releasing tons of discs which I'd have to buy to find the few golden songs I love, they release tons of DLC so I can individually purchase the good ones.

All I gotta say is that they better have all songs unlocked from the begining, I don't want to start playing and come to an entire "level" devoted to Tool shit ever again.

The songs are all unlocked in quickplay from the minute you boot up the game. They started this in Metallica and Beenox carried it on in Smash Hits. Neversoft has confirmed it happening in GH5, as well.

If Kurt was alive he would never agree to be on a game. Guess David and Courtney couldn`t care less if this rumor is true

I agree with that. Kurt wouldn't have been for this from what I understand... I thought Courtney Love though was the one who had rights to his likeness or something... Or at least his part of Nirvana.

I don't know how I feel about two classics like them being in this game without knowing what they would think of it. Johnny Cash really wanted to show in his later years how his career drove him into the ground, like the movie about his life, and why he sang the NIN song Hurt with so much emotion.

Examples of people who if they were in a game now would be Michael Jackson, he'd be all over it if he was alive, or even say Ozzy Osbourne if he was dead... I know he'd be all for it even after death. There's alot of musicians that if they were dead, would still want their likeness plastered in games and memorabilia of all kinds.

it is more likely that you aren't the only one. there's at least one more who feels the same.

Sitting alone and playing Guitar Hero is not whats its really meant for. Yeah its good the first couple of times you play the songs just to get the hang of it but the real fun is when you have a group of 3-4 people just having fun and messing around. PS Girls love this shit and for all you nerds out there that havent touch vagina, get GH, get some beers (maybe some weed if that floats yer boat), invite some chicks over, and Get Down with yo bad self. Also fun as a family game, I play with my g/f, daughter, sister, brother, mom, stepdad all the time. Its like Karaoke on steroids and definitely cooler without all the drunky sleazy bar people, and look how long that shit's been around. Guitar Hero FTW!!!! Haha jk
