Capcom: Marvel vs Capcom 2 on XBLA July 29, PSN date coming 'soon'

The Capcom Unity twitter account revealed something interesting this morning: Marvel vs Capcom 2 will be gracing Xbox Live on July 29 -- and Capcom PR separately confirmed a 1200

($15) price. For those of you wondering about its arrival on PSN, Capcom promises an announcement "soon." Sharpen those claws (and those Hadoukens), because it's about to be on.

It's Capcom. No matter what they say, or do, they just can't get a grip on the PS3. I expect the trend to continue steadfast until the next generation of hardware.

It's almost like they go out of their way to piss off PS fans, in every aspect of their business.

It's not just Capcom that does bullcrap like this. I feel like the gaming industry as a whole treats the PS3 like a redheaded step child.

First off, thanks for the Carrot Top picture, now I'm sterile. Probably for the best.

Second off, the PSN Demo actually sold the game to me. Having never had the chance to experience the (glory) of the original game, I fell in love right away.

Third, does anyone know if the game is still planning on coming with all of the characters unlocked? It's not a huge deal, but it's enough to make me not want to buy the game. My favorite part of fighting games is unlocking new characters. Always a sense of victory when that happens. Probably the same reason I'm an achievement/trophy hooah.

I thought the demo was perfect considering the majority of people interested in this game played it at least once within the last ten years and that no one in their right mind should buy a fighting game without at least a second controller and a few mates to play with.

It will come with the characters unlocked. I was hoping to unlock them myself as well.

I'm sure it will hit the PS3 the next day (in the US, i'm sure EU will get it a few months down the line ;)). And as far as PSN goes, there PS Store looks like one giant clusterfuck. There's been cases where they've had problems on the release day (for whatever reason) and won't fix it until the one week later on the next thursday. Why? It doesn't make any sense for them to releases vital updates when they get them. And if it looks like shite from where I'm sitting, i wonder what kind of headaches the game companies have to deal with.

Its not delayed, they just haven't announced a release date yet.

There is probably about a 90% chance that it's coming out the same week as the XBLA version.

oh now thats some shit.....they do a good thing by FINALLY saying they are getting thins right for Bionic Commando: Rearmed, and Give us an "Exclusive" Demo for MvC2 but NOW they dont have a Date for its release!?!?!? Capcom REALLY likes to toy with PS3 owners it seems....I suggest they give it the same date as the XBLA release...........
