Pssst. Here is a hint to everyone complaining about the price. If you wait a little while they will all go on sale for lower than 1200 pts either through a deal of the week or through Amazon.

Do they still release games through Amazon? The newest XBLA game I found was Lode Runner from like April.

Was hoping Trials HD would be 800msp, not mad about as Trials 2 se and Monster Truck Nitro were great. I was expecting to pay more for Shadow Complex, so it all evens out. If my tournament edition stick comes in soon I'll pick up Marvel vs. Capcom 2, too; I really enjoyed the original and the PSN demo ran great.

What the hell is Trials HD anyway? A racing game or something?

Did Zombies get picked up by a new crew? I'd still love to see it on Live.

So it's okay to complain about $15 games, but when people complain about the PS3 being $400, they've just crossed the line too far.

What does one have to do with the other?
Is the Ps3 pricey as a quote unquote video game console? Yes.

Is the Ps3 pricey when you look at the total package of what you get? No.
Find another Bluray player that also has a web browser, WiFi, that also happens to play Ps3 games and the point won't be moot.

Besides that, factor in buying a 360 with the extra stuff over a few years that the Ps3 comes with and the prices are even.

Complaining about downloadable games that were 1/3 of the price 2 years ago is the point being made here. Microsoft needs to quit being so fucking greedy. Everyone's in it to make money, and yes they deserve to make some money - but charging people more for a downloadable title that costs less elsewhere is a joke. Quit forcing companies to charge for things they don't want to charge for. How many free map packs and updates would there be for Halo, Gears, TF2, CoD4, CoD WaW etc by now would there be if Microsoft didn't force the developers/publishers to CHARGE for these things?

That's the point.

Your arguement is invalid. 2 years ago, there was a size limitation on XBLA games, making all of them well under 150mb. There's no limit anymore, and the games we see are FAR bigger, borderline full retail games.

Obviously they're going to cost more.

nobody wants all of that stuff in a PS3, and nobody buys all of that stuff for the 360. The only reason I have a ps3 is because i got it for 300$ and just for blueray movies. Sure there are some people that may actually use every single feature the ps3 has to offer, but I have other devices for that.

Then by that token, Ps3 games should cost at least 3x as much as 360 games because Bluray discs hold 3x more data than a DL DVD.

*Your* argument is invalid. It has nothing to do with the file size. How come Geometry Wars 2 costs double (800) what the first one did (400) when they're practically the same size. Do you really think extra modes + new enemies inflated the game several hundred megabytes? No.

Here's another one. Go back to the old days. Why didn't TurboCD and SegaCD games cost 100x the price of the megabit cartridges since the CDs hold 100x+ more data?

I'd only consider spending 1200 MS Points on TMNT if it includes the SNES stages. If not, well... I guess I'll wait for a "deal of the week" or something.

$15, $15, $10, $15, $15. No thanks. What happened to most games being $5-$10? Seems like MS loves charging $15 for every game now.

I don't care how much space the games take. I don't care how incredible the graphics and sound are.

What I do care about is if the game is replayable, entertaining, doesn't require learning two billion button combos. God I hate button mashing. For that, I'll gladly pay $60 for a XBLA game. Especially if it supports multiple players local, LAN and online.

Where we're all really getting taken is when a retail game goes for $60, only takes 10 hours to play through and the harder levels don't do anything but give you more/tougher enemies! Heck, even at 20 hours it's a ripoff.

I won't be buying any of these titles now. I was intending to purchase both Marvel vs Capcom 2 and TMNT, but it just can't be done. I can't justify spending the money because I know this is just Microsoft being a bit greedy and not a reflection of actual development costs. Slowly these XBLA game prices have been creeping to higher price points and unfortunately, there is a large number of gamers who still purchase at these higher price points - so why wouldn't Microsoft continue this practice.

If only we lived in a world with consumers who were a bit more frugal with their money, then none of us would have to pay these prices.

Anyways, bottom line, Microsoft might be making more money per purchase, but they'll have less gamers playing - which is more important to them?

TMNT not worth that much to me that is. mvc2 I already have the game so why would i buy it again, less they have a deal for 400 points then i would think about it. splosion man, i well wait for review but ok for the price, Trials HD, heard a little about it but not that much to know if the game is wroth that much, and then finally SC. which is the only game i really want and is good for the price because i felt it was going to cost 1600 points and it a game that look like it going to cost you some points.

so these are good games, but for the price a lot of people are going to have empty pockets. better hope MS have some summer deals or a lot of people are going to be summer broke.

It is a physics based puzzle game where you control the speed and pitch of your motorcyle to get through (sometimes insane) courses filled with various jumps and obstacles.
