King of Fighters XII punches through with a new video

If you had told us five years ago that 2009 would be a year to remember for 2D fighters, we would've called you a crazy person and erased you from our buddy list. Sure enough, with solid releases Street Fighter IV and BlazBlue already dropping this year, and Marvel vs Capcom 2, Tatsunoko vs Capcom and, as the above video shows, King of Fighters XII awaiting release, we would've been the crazy one. If you're a fan of the occasional bout of two-dimensional fisticuffs, then you've got a lot to choose from this year.

It's as if millions of piggy banks suddenly cried out in terror, and were suddenly silenced ... by giant hammers.

@deaftly: Thanks dude, by the way KOF is better than Tatsunoko vs Capcom not just for the combos, its for the character roster that is so complex you can play with one guy that only do throws and then you can use another that only use energy attacks, even there are some that do a mix of movements, its better that sf4 that looks awful to me, long live 2d!!!!
PD: I prefer SSF2 Turbo HD Remix than SF4 in graphics

i think the same, also i hope they put mai shiranui again in the game is not that shes a good or bad fighter, its about to maintain the original roster in the game

BlazBlue totally blew me away. Solid fighter, and the PS360 ports have the best netcode of any fighter I've ever played, hands down. I'm fighting players from across the country and in Japan with no lag whatsoever. As much as I love KOF, the shoddy online play for their offerings on XBLA make me a little skeptical. Hoping to be pleasantly surprised.

Ralf pretty much owns the entire cast of blazblue . i mean blazblue is like arcana heart, its good for those fanboys that want the home version for still shots of ling , but seriously... that games an interactive cartoon full of engrish and slogans.

Oh, fanboy. I love KOF, too, but BlazBlue is a wonderful game for those of us who enjoy the fast pace of games like Guilty Gear, and DEFINITELY nothing like Arcana Heart. What the hell, man? Have you even played BB?

Ignition are the ones bringing Muramasa, Nostalgia and Blue Dragon + for America too, one of the guys that works there is the one that use to work on that game show on G4TV.
