It's a scientific fact that 100 percent of people on Earth love Scribblenauts -- trust us, an actual scientist said that -- unfortunately, not everyone owns a Nintendo DS. Sure, almost everyone owns a DS, but that still leaves a small sliver of humanity who will be unable to experience 5th Cell's wordy puzzler whenever it hits store shelves this September.
Fortunately for this minuscule contingency, there's a chance Scribblenauts could be released on other platforms. In a recent interview with VG247, the game's technical director, Marius Fahlbusch, explained, "We never limited ourselves to the DS as platform in our heads and we'll see what the future holds." Personally, we think it would be a hit on any platform, whether that platform be Xbox 360, PS3 or coloring book.

Okay, found some answers:

220 levels, once a puzzle is solved with one word, the next time you enter, you have to use another.
Level editor shared via wi-fi, and that's it. Hmmm... I think that should keep most busy for a while.

Good job answering your own question. It's a freakin' playground in which you can see God battle Cthulhu with a shotgun. WTF ELSE DO YOU NEED!!!

Personally, I think the game, as it is, works best on the DS; the touch screen for input and limited cartoony graphics make it what it is.

What? Why would I want to tap out words on a crappy software keyboard?
This is a PC game that got put on the DS for opportunistic reasons. I just hope that if they port it, it winds up on the PC where I don't need to spend half my time hunting and pecking keys with a stylus.

If you watch the videos you see that creating anything is pretty much its hook. I mean, it's good for what it is, but yeah the hype train's a little crazy.
On the bright side at least we're not hearing about Braid anymore.

That's the thing though, this is the new Braid on here. They do this with every "hyped" casual game, talk about it for months at a time.

are you kidding? They don't talk about this game half as much as they talked about braid. besides, I feel like this game deserves the hype, i mean braid was great, but...there was wayyy too much hype behind it... this game has replay value out the anus, and it's got charm and hilarity. awesome combination's.

I don't....
Anyway, I could see it on PSN since ps3 has keyboard support. Typing with a regular controller would be far too tedious.

360 has it for messages, but I'm pretty sure MS really frowns on using keyboards in actual games.

Tmac, you are not a person, you are a Nintendo hate machine, that's why this scientific didn't count you in during his research.

Wait, it might come to the _____? Now I don't think it'll suck. (was that too obvious making fun of fanboi's?)

All four consoles (PS3, PS2, Wii, 360) support USB keyboards. Have an onscreen keyboard for people that want to use controllers, but recommend people use a USB keyboard; they're like $4 anyway. 16:9, clear and crisp Scribblenauts running off a USB keyboard? Do want.
DS? Meh.

or, you know, a PC? Like the one you are tying on now. With a mouse and keyboard...

Actually, I couldn't really care much less about PC gaming. I have a rather bottom-end laptop, which is obviously not conductive to games, and I run linux, which doesn't have a huge library anyway. Considering releasing it for PC would almost certainly be releasing it on some download service (like Steam) and on Windows, it would mean absolutely nothing to me.

Although it's perfect on the DS, I think it could probably work really well on the Wii (maybe the sequel will be on the Wii ala Drawn to Life), and the game will probably be even BETTER on the PC than DS because of less technical limitations and keyboard+mouse.

I think this game sounds great but not great enough to justify buying a DS or putting up with the hand cramps since the DS isn't designed for western adult males with hands larger than a 12 year old girls. I would definitely check it out if it was released for XBLA. Chatpad support would be okay but I also suggest using a radial letter ring like they used in a couple of the last generation Tom Clancy games. Worked really well and fast once you got used to it.
