Second dev diary for Dante's Inferno is lustful

EA has passed on another Dante's Inferno developer diary, with this latest video containing four minutes of juicy game footage and commentary from the folks behind the title. It focuses on the Lust circle of Hell, which looks to be comprised of walls and walls of bodies, as well as freaky contortions of what once passed for human beings. If you're eating or drinking anything, we suggest you set it aside for a few minutes and collect yourself before watching this. This has a spit out your Coke factor of about eight.

Game looks great. I just hate how some developers have to hold back some things because of the ESRB fear. I want more fucked up things, dont hold back Visceral! Just do it.

its Funny that God of War 3 is worried about its rating in Australia

I have to see how this gets through the rating board,
But at the same time Its a total buy, God of war 3 and Dante's Inferno excellent combo on the PS3

GoW: Just some game. This being based on Divina Commedia is a piece of art. They can't censor art, can they? I wonder if EA is planning on doing some kind of games for the other two chapters ...

It's very loosely based on The Divine Comedy. At least The Divine Comedy is funny; this one is trying too hard to be dark and grim and somber.

At least with God of War, the aspect of being a vengeance-driven asshole made a lot of sense, given the whole range of Greek mythology that we have about the Greek gods.

i wasnt really a fan of the god of war games, so i probably wont play this one either, but ill say that the art work does look really well done. but it seemed like they were trying really hard to make it look dark.

Holy shit...this game looks even better now. I thought it was a GoW knockoff before, but it actually sounds pretty cool now.

I'm not too into gore in my games (which is one reason I probably won't get GoW III), but this game seems to do it with as much tact as possible. Not just throwing in gore for the sake of gore. Definitely gonna be a contender with Bayonetta.

i think he meant both GoW3 and dante's. and i agree, at first, i didn't think this would be a good game, but MAN was i wrong. it looks great. really messed up, but great. some of those character designs reminded me of silent hill though...

They really are going all-out on this one, aren't they. Every trailer I've seen has been beautifully grotesque. After the successes of Dead Space and Mirror Edge. Many gamers have witnessed EA's return to form. I hope they continue to push themselves in this direction.
