As if this Friday wasn't freaky enough, Xbox Live's Major Nelson has alerted us to a schedule swap occurring within the "Summer of Arcade" lineup. 'Splosion Man has taken the July 22nd spot previously held by TMNT: Turtles in Time Re-shelled, which will now release on August 5th. The full Xbox Live Arcade release list -- excluding next week's Monkey Island revamp -- is as follows:

Can shuffle them all you want only getting SC, and saving the rest of my money for beer.

I'm glad that everybody is pumped for Shadow Complex.
Everybody complaining about overpriced XBLA games, don't buy them. That's how the system works.

agreed. however, discussing the value of $10 or $15 games is important. consumers (ie everyone here) need to feel like theyre gettin their moneys worth..

This lineup seems to top last years, between the mix of beloved classics and intriguing originals

i was interested in the turtles remake but 15 bucks is a lil steep for me. i spend more money on less useful stuff but that just feels like a lot for an xbla game.
if the larger (more expensive) xbla titles were rebranded as retail titles available for download id feel better about it. implied value means a lot at this price point.

I saw Shadow Complex listed for PC on at least one website, but I can't seem to find the announcement for the PC release. Can anyone confirm it?

Who cares about 'Splosion Man! Why did MS screw up a good release schedule. Turtles in Time would have been a better start, followed by MVC2, and so on. Mark my words 'Splosion Man won't be a good seller as time goes on. Besides the bad prices MS made another mistake with the poor choice they picked for their summer of arcade schedule.

Marvel VS Capcom is a super fair price, considering how Shadow Complex looks it's lower than I expected, Splosionman, long as it's a bit longer than Maw was, is totally gonna be worth it, having friends to play TMNT makes it worth it, Trials looks like garbage. that is all.

Dudes, Shadow Complex is a full, hours-long 2D Metroidvania title! I would gladly pay 30 bucks for something like that on DS, and instead I get a full 3D HD game for half the price!
How in the Hell is anyone complaining about that?
Now MvC2.. okay. That's bull.
But even Turtles in Time is a pretty sweet deal. That's one of the best beat-em-ups ever, with new graphics and online play. For $15? I've spend 15 bucks on FAR worse things than that.

And let me clarify: The only reason MvC's price is too high, is because they didn't DO anything to it. There's graphical filters, and that's it.
SFII HD Remix costs the same and they hand drew new HD sprites into it. Now THAT'S effort worthy of the price.

Like I said, there's definitely exceptions. Games like Marvel vs Capcom are 1200 points, simply because it's going to sell either way. Turtles I'm a little on the fence about, it is a full remake so I can understand why it might be so expensive, but a game like that isn't exactly long and paying $15 is definitely too much, in my opinion.. Trials on the other hand is very big, and has more content than the one on Steam, so being slightly more expensive than on there makes sense.
But for the most part, we're still seeing the smaller indy games like Splosion Man, and Dishwasher, etc priced at 800, while the bigger ones are 1200. If you think you're being gauged, simply don't buy games like MvC2.

trials and sc i defo gonna buy, dont like overpriced arcade games anymore than the next man but trials should be ace especially with the level editor and sc is longer than cod4 and 5 and look how many ppl bought them at $65. mvc is perhaps a bit muh but it's a fun game (some1 complained that it was just slightly upgraded dreamcast game but that was what $50 when it came out) the only game i cant see being worth 1200 is tmnt but still will give it a try.

I wish they'd put Shadow Complex at the beginning of August. I'll practically be back in classes for the fall semester by the time I get to play it.
