Readers pick best webcomic: Team Fortress 2 Babies
As prestigious cartoons such as the Muppets and Looney Toons have categorically proven in the past, the baby-fication of an animated franchise makes that franchise at least eleven times more popular. For example -- people flipped over GG-Guys' youthful look at Valve's hit multiplayer shooter, titled "Team Fortress 2 Babies." It won last weeks WeeWebWrap with a staggering 593 votes. Seriously, check us out. We're staggered.
Second and third place went to 2P Start's "Mega Man's Workout" and Brawl in the Family's "Mountain Cracks," respectively. If you want one of your favorite strips -- or one of your own -- to show up in today's wrapup, hit us up with a link! Just drop it in the comments, hit up our tipline, or send off a carrier pigeon. It should know where to find us.

Last time I checked the poll, it was a pretty close one! This, despite the comments saying "they're all crap", "they're all unfunny", etc.
Personally, I voted for teh beh-behs, because I thought the strip (although not so much the punchline) was funny.
Nap @ Jul 11th 2009 11:44AM
I guess it's kindddaaa funny :\

I voted for Virtual Shackles, but I liked this one too. The Rugrats in the background were great.
Bowser Rogozhin: Death of a Ladies Man @ Jul 11th 2009 12:17PM
Man, even as a kid who used to watch a ton of garbage (Reboot was amazing in 1995), I did have standards. Rugrats was a trash show for genuine herbs. Although, any positive memories I might have had are certainly muddied by the little urchin I once knew who was just like Angelica, and she was a right genital wart if I ever I saw one. Also, the comic wasn't funny.

"The Rugrats in the background were great."
That's really the only part that made me smile.
I miss Rugrats. Actually, I just miss the days when Nickelodeon didn't suck.
Sly @ Jul 11th 2009 1:40PM
nickelodeon proper sucks huge donkey balls, especially after the end of drake & josh, but nick at nite currently has one of the best lineups on TV.
malcolm in the middle, fresh prince, george lopez, home improvement, the nanny... you get the idea.
Maverick Saturn (Igor) @ Jul 11th 2009 12:22PM
Somewhat distrubing :|
Zinger314 @ Jul 11th 2009 12:22PM
It took me five minutes to realize that the first panel involved Operation.

Hey!
Dipswitch had three comics this week...only one of 'em is about gaming though. :(

It's back to gaming-related comics on Monday, though!
Enjoy.

i like monday's comic. me & my friends have been debating whether or not spongebob is gay, and the last panel was pretty good.
BPMOmega [GT,Steam] @ Jul 11th 2009 12:30PM
1. Make a TF2 comic.
2. ???
3. PROFIT!
Roto13 @ Jul 11th 2009 1:28PM
I like the Rugrats in the background. :P

Entire team is babies!
Evan @ Jul 11th 2009 2:15PM
I did a gaming related comic this week, but it's not my best work.

Instead I would suggest you include this Chainsawsuit in the wrapup:

They might have stuffed the box. On the main page of the site, there's was a link to the Joystiq voting reel.

I like your comic, man!
The artist on your strip needs to take a few more lessons in Illustrator (if that's how he's doing his thing)...but the jokes are definitely solid.
The shell one does require reading some of the older stuff, but still, good fun, man.
check out www.comicsnap.com for some cool Illustrator tutorials.

I love TF2 and webcomics, so a TF2 comic gets double love from me. :)
Here is the Monday Night Crew's offering for the week:
http://www.mondaynightcrew.com/issues/comic_0157.html
I've noticed that when it's slow in the gaming world (ie. the summer) writing comics becomes much more difficult. I imagine that in the latter part of the year there will be too many games to make comics about.
It's clearly obvious that game companies don't care about the fans, so why not even out there release schedules for us comic creators?
Olicon @ Jul 11th 2009 7:28PM
I would like to nominate http://nerfnow.com/comic/127
Luthorcrow @ Jul 12th 2009 12:33AM
Blah! Not even chuckle worthy. The fact is there is not a single web comic that isn't crap. I would love to be proven wrong but sadly, everyone I have seen make me want to beat the creators.
Darkpen @ Jul 12th 2009 2:09AM
That looks terrible. No creative effort put into even remotely parodying what TF2 babies would actually look like. 5 o'clock shadows? Narrow skulls? Just plain awkward and ugly.
