WOW!Those screencaps are amazing. It looks like its going to be the bestTR yet. The graphics look amazing and now im intrigued. I've got to say that i didnt know if i was looking forward to thisgame because Anniversary and Underworld were both very dissapointingbut now seeing these it has made me think again. It looks amazing andnot at all like a TR game (which is probs for the best because TR hasgone downhill again since Legend) With Legend and the return of thefranchise everything started looking up but then the release of theother two games lead me to dissapointment and wasted time over thegame because the storylines were crap and also the graphics. Thegraphics to this look brilliant.

is there any way you could screencap the information and save the pics instead of photographing them? because the picture will be a lot clearer ad easier to read the info.

All the images were concept art; just digital paintings, not in-game anything.

I've been following the series since the start and have every game and I'll admit this franchise is in need of a major overhaul, good to see they still care about this franchise. It's like everyone is coming together to save a dying friend.

The reboot is a great idea. A kick in the right direction for the franchise. I'd love to see this happen because it sounds and looks like it could be the best yet.
I'd love to see TR go to a deeper darker place with its storylines because over time they have seemed to get more boring and pointless. TR needs to take a step back and explore it's origin to improve and possible look towards Uncharted and see how much better that game is. Uncharted and TR are both the same genre games but i think we all know which one has been selling more lately dont we?
More combat sounds great because your get to be more hands on. This maybe the best thing that has ever happened to TR.

you know, i dont care if i get downvoted for what i said. i feel as though tomb raider already had it's limelight. we need legacy of kain. that series needs to either finish the storyline or reboot.

Tomb Raider fell off a notch in recent years. If they go serious toward it and make it something interesting I might give it a chance.

There's a reason why Legend is the only thing you're hearing praise for...

I mean, Underworld wasn't as bad as Angel of Darkness, but it definitely wasn't as good as what Legend led us to believe it would be.

Additionally, Underworld had numerous in-game glitches (walking down stairs glitch, a grenade glitch) and the storyline was sub-par compared to all the plot lines opened during Legend.

Didn't tomb raider ALREADY have an origin story?

I seem to remember a tomb raider game where i started out playing as young lara with her mentor, etc..

The thing about tomb raider is that it doesn't really have anywhere to go. It did pretty much everything right the first time (TR1-3 were awesome). So there isn't anything to do except pretty it up and add pointless extras. It's the same story as tony hawk

Open world sounds interesting though. I kinda wish they'd take out ALL th combat, and make it like PoP meets Mirror's edge + physics puzzles... and with the focus on exploration and puzzle solving.

The original concept art for legend was cool, with a rebooted and more realistic (and interesting) looking Lara... but in the end they just went with the same big-boobs and botox face look.

Am I really the only person out there that loves both Uncharted and Tomb Raider, yet doesn't want this to be "more like Uncharted"? Yes, they're very similar in some respects but they each have distinct approaches with the formula. In many ways, Uncharted is an action game with adventure elements and Tomb Raider is the complete opposite.

If they gave Tomb Raider the best combat system on the planet, that doesn't entirely warrant making it more like Uncharted. We have Uncharted 2 for that.

I really wish they pull it off. I loved TR, and I don't hate the new ones, but they're so sub-par compared to other games loosely set in the genre.

What makes Ico, Shadow of the Colossus, the PoP series and Mirror's Edge climbing\running so freakin' awesome is the fact that, yeah, they're stretching human ability a bit, but it feels so right and tight and EXCITING. Every jump over every massive ravine takes your breath away. In Tomb Raider, without a running start, pressing jump gets her shoes to where her neck used to be. With zero momentum you leap in a massive arc that can clear a van, no problem. Puzzles are rigid and easy. Climbing ledges is totally boring in TR, as it involves little to no parkour (I fucking hate that word, the new platforming cliché) and there's no way to get it wrong. I think you spend at least 1/3rd of the game SHIMMYING.

It's not that the game mechanics aren't tight - they're the direct fucking opposite, more flaccid than a 90 year old chain smoker looking at Chaney porkin' a puppy. YES I WENT THERE.

I think it's about time this goddamn industry understands that unless you're making a pop franchise\movie game the only way to sell to the common crowd is to get your games so refined and polished they basically sell themselves on the merit of being massively good and fun. Right now TR is simply not good enough to sell on it's own - it just nostalgia mixed with boobs and a meh game you hoped will rock the franchise.

Wow there are alot of uninformed people that post here.

TR Legend wasnt even a reboot there hasnt been one. Legend is set after the previous games all there have been is continuation which Crystal dynamics did very very poorly at (not totally their fault.)....while the new games are not garbage they are not what real TR fans want.

As far as people saying that Uncharted is like TR is stupid, they are both adventure games yes but they are totally different. Uncharted is more action and less exploration, and its very linear. (im talking about the first game cause the second isnt out yet so dont bother saying anything about that, youll jut look like an ass.)

TR is more exploration, puzzle solving and not so much about combat. Its like comparing Metal Gear to Assassins creed thats stupid. They share similar properties but are two totally different games and should be judge based on their own merit not if one is better because thats all personal opinion.

Lara doesnt need to move on they can use her forever really, the games just need to be reinvented and that is what Square-enix/CD/Edios are doing so really we have to wait and see if its garbage but seriously with SE backing them up they will have more time to develop it and the resources.

People really need to stop basing their opinions on what others say and actually play the damn games.

On a side note, I own uncharted and we have all the TR games starting from the PS1 to the games now so dont bother saying im a TR fanboy cause I'm not I just like both of them for different reasons.

Good god people, your bashing a game thats JUST got information leaked, give it some time and give it a fair chance. If your just going to bash it then why bother to post? Leave the posting to people who have real things to say about it.

Sounds like it could be interesting, like Tomb Raider meets Survival Kids (or Lost in Blue). Just as long as I don't have to feed and get her water every day.

I don't get why Legend is considered a reboot, really. It may be inconsistent with the "canon" (though it may just me). They remade the first one, but it's pretty loyal. There wasn't any one time, though, where somebody went ahead and completely reshuffled the deck.

Not that it matters anyway. I used to have high hopes for Angel of Darkness, taking the plot to another level like they had promised, but right now I really couldn't care less what goes down with the Tomb Raider canon. I just want good, solid gameplay in an interesting, challenging environment. Needless to say, I was left somewhat needing.
