Next World at War PC patch adds Map Pack 2
If your devout WASDing-and-mousing ways have turned you into a frequent player of Call of Duty: World at War on the PC, you'll be pleased to know that Treyarch hasn't forgotten about you. The oft-downloaded Map Pack 2 that hit Xbox 360 and PS3 last month will be making its way to PCs in World at War's next update, Patch 1.5.
According to Treyarch community manager J.D. (a.k.a. JD_2020 on the Treyarch forums), the patch is "in test right now, and is looking great." For those of you who remained spitefully out of the loop on the map bundle, it includes three standard levels -- Bonsai, Corrosion and Sub Pens -- and a swampy, undead-plagued stage called "Shi No Numa," which we believe is Japanese for "Oh crap, Zombies."

sony boy @ Jul 12th 2009 8:46PM

Cody @ Jul 12th 2009 8:54PM
Your some sort of sick bastard sony boy.
sony boy @ Jul 12th 2009 9:16PM
why??? PC was made by microsoft, ain't i right?
JXCgunrunna @ Jul 12th 2009 9:24PM
Hmm... well my PC has an nVidia mother board, nanya ram, nVidia graphics card, Western Digital HDD, in a dell case so im pretty sure my PC is not made my Microsoft.
Altho i was wondering why my Sony Walkman does not play my psp's UMDs...
Nerdy Desi @ Jul 12th 2009 9:30PM
sony boy, how old are you?
sc00by_y00 @ Jul 12th 2009 10:59PM
I think sony boy meant that since its "games for windows" It should be tagged under xbox aka microsoft being the parent company owning both xbox and windows..
Since its Sony / Nintendo the xbox should be a generic Microsoft under Microsoft it should be windows , xbox and xbox 360..
They do that exact thing with Nintendo and with Sony it should be Microsoft..
Microsoft should never be the same as PC though.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n54es3G4vgs&feature=related -- this is a pc too, but it sure aint windows !
Nerdy Desi @ Jul 12th 2009 8:24PM
Us WASDers are people too!
Breakerchase @ Jul 12th 2009 9:02PM
Haha, us lucky PC fools get to have the Map Pack for free, just like with the Variety Map pack for number 4.
Kleptomaniac @ Jul 12th 2009 9:02PM
Why does no one see a problem with the console gamers having to pay for these maps while the PC gamers get them for free? Yeah I know its absurd to PC gamers to pay for maps but i'd say most of the sales came from the consoles so i'm sure all the profit made from those sales can pay for a few maps!
sony boy @ Jul 12th 2009 9:17PM
because we get it like 6 month early.
JXCgunrunna @ Jul 12th 2009 9:26PM
cuz they dont care about the 70 dollars total all 10 of us rumored PC players would be giving them.
Nerdy Desi @ Jul 12th 2009 9:31PM
Because we had to wait so long to finally get this DLC, just like the DLC for Mass Effect, we got it for free. PC got Burnout Paradise a full year after the console versions but at least we also got all the DLC released in 2008 as well.
The Baron @ Jul 12th 2009 9:33PM
Yeah. Given how few people who play PC online fpses would actually buy these considering the amount of custom maps in CSS, TF2, UT3, battlefield etc, it makes sense to just offer them free to try and get PC gamers on side for future iterations of the CoD series.
arkweld @ Jul 13th 2009 11:04AM
because it's console owners faults that they pay for this stuff in the first place. PC gamers never would have supported being charged $10 for three maps of anything unless it was wrapped in serious expansion pack.
Developers were quite happy making freebie maps for PC games until Xbox came along.
Same reason that console owners are more than willing to drop $60 on a new game when you can find the PC version selling for $30.

Why can't I have it for my new macbook pro? :(
cloud858rk @ Jul 12th 2009 11:57PM
Because its not running Windows?
David @ Jul 13th 2009 11:31AM
