Zing!
Damn Dirty Ape @ Jul 13th 2009 11:35AM
I'm hoping Trine finally comes out on the PSN this week.
dantebk @ Jul 13th 2009 11:40AM
Why does "Science Papa" make me feel dirty?
Why do WiiWare games need so many exclamation points?
Why am I not playing Trine on my PS3 at this very moment?
Storm Eagle::The Blood Edge @ Jul 13th 2009 11:43AM
Don't you know? Exclamation points ADD MOAR VALYOO!!!!!!
CTC XBL-supapaypamawio PSN-ctclaw @ Jul 13th 2009 12:12PM
Between Birthday Party Bash and Science Papa it's a good time to own a Wii!!
Storm Eagle::The Blood Edge @ Jul 13th 2009 11:42AM
I think that EVERYONE is accepted at EASU. All the time. Regardless of server capacity. That's why there was such a problem with 1943 last week!
Freak Mojo @ Jul 13th 2009 11:43AM
That Wii selection is UNSTOPPABLE!
Or is that unbuyable?
I am enjoying the heck out my Tiger Woods on the Wii though.. so it's not always bad.
Fernando Rocker @ Jul 13th 2009 11:45AM
Nothing for me this week... altough, I will wait for the Incoming! reviews to see if I should pick the game... is only $5.
I would pick Ikaruga if I had a working 360... good thing is that I will finally buy a new 360 as soon as a good bundle is available (The Fable II - Halo 3 bundle is great, but I already have both games, so I hope a new great bundle comes by the holidays).
Also, I just picked Bit.Trip.Core... that game is great, but just like Bit.Trip.Beat, very difficult for human skills. I also picked Let's Catch, and I'm enjoying that game a lot.
MLS @ Jul 13th 2009 12:01PM
bit.trip:core nails rhythm better than any music game I've ever played. I've found that if I drum along to the beat with the 2 button, I can just focus on my d-pad and become a machine at it.
That is until i get to the 6th phase of a song and encounter a pattern I have no idea how to figure out in the matter of 8 seconds it takes to die; then i have to turn the game off because i got a high score and if i save it I'll never be able to beat the level + beat that old high score (requirements to save the upcoming unlocked level); and i reboot the game to try again where I strain and concentrate for 6 minutes only to get back at the same hard part and still not know how to pass it and die again right away AGHH THIS GAME NEEDS A NO FAIL MODE!
or at least checkpoints, something, anything. I don't mind the difficulty, it's the punishment that is annoying.
Fernando Rocker @ Jul 13th 2009 12:06PM
Yeah, don't get me wrong... Bit.Trip.Core is an excellent game. The music is great, and the rhytm gameplay is very good (the rumble helps a lot too).
I just found some patters to be very hard to figure... I have only beat the first level, and half of the second level... but again, I just bought the game yesterday. I need more practice.
Just like you, I wish the game had at least one checkpoint at the middle of the level.
Cody @ Jul 13th 2009 2:12PM
"...if I had a working 360"
ROFL I swear that never gets old.
The toleration level of some people (broken 360 owners) kills me!
osb1842 @ Jul 13th 2009 7:24PM
Heads up... this is Chris from Gaijin Games. Glad you guys are liking our game! Don't worry about the high score / saving thing, that only happened in the US version of BEAT. CORE will stay unlocked no matter what score you get when you finish a level.
Rhamsey @ Jul 13th 2009 11:48AM
eh, nothing that really excites me this week.
tmacairjordan87 @ Jul 13th 2009 11:51AM
Another stinker of a week. That's like...a bunch in a row (I lost count).
MystileArmor @ Jul 13th 2009 12:57PM
No Monkey Island? Really?
I'd pay full retail price for that game.
I cannotz wait zoo get my fat little chokolat pooding covzered handz on zee Monkey Izland! YAah!
nukee @ Jul 13th 2009 11:56AM
Is it too much to ask for some level packs on LBP? Ghostbuster would've been perfect for it, but no.
j.howlett @ Jul 13th 2009 12:00PM
i saw birthday party bash being played on hsn this morning. there was also a cute girl pitching the bundle it came in, but they had some dude on the wii fit.
dark_inchworm (on Steam!) dark inchworm (on XBL!) @ Jul 13th 2009 12:10PM
Ikaruga and Monkey Island for me!
Access Granted @ Jul 13th 2009 12:12PM
Secret of Monkey Island and Ikaruga for me this week.
CJLopez @ Jul 13th 2009 12:12PM
tales of vesperia jap demo, here i go!!!!!
baby sea tuna @ Jul 13th 2009 12:28PM
Monkey Island is tempting, but when I saw they lowered the price of Mad World to a more reasonable $29.99, I broke down and bought it over the weekend, along with that Motion Plus Tiger Woods 10, so it looks like a Wii week for the first time in a LOOOONG time.
Markez @ Jul 13th 2009 1:47PM
I've heard wildly different opinions on whether the + makes a difference in Woods. All I know is the the version I had for Wii a cuppla years ago really sucked because the Wiimote would totally eff up 1 out of every 4 or 5 shots, so lemme know what you think.
baby sea tuna @ Jul 13th 2009 2:24PM
It works surprisingly well. Actually, it's funny since once you realize how accurate the 1:1 motion of the remote is, you realize just how sketchy the IR pointer can be in comparison.
I've also learned that I can't putt for shit...but I can't blame that one on Tiger, or the Wii.
Mr Khan @ Jul 13th 2009 12:32PM
I'm finally getting around to The Legendary Starfy. Today, actually, just after i go see Bruno.
Should feed the void in my heart that comes from a lack of Kirby, and tide me over till Wii Sports Resort.
Angus @ Jul 13th 2009 1:00PM
Hi, I'm *censored* and I'm a Monkey Island die hard fan, so Special Edition me
edgore @ Jul 13th 2009 1:26PM
I am getting Monkey Island. Not so much for itself (since I have played it like a million times in the original format) but as an investment in possible future Lucas Arts adventure games.
Khaled @ Jul 13th 2009 1:44PM
NCAA Football =)
gib @ Jul 13th 2009 4:21PM
I would get NCAA football (again) if the 360 version had the Brian Johnson cover, like the PS3. Go Utes!
Yeah, I know you can print off custom covers...
atastysammich @ Jul 13th 2009 2:24PM
Hey you! Yeah, you! Go buy Pulseman right now!
rTwelve @ Jul 13th 2009 2:27PM

My pants are ablaze.
mr mobius @ Jul 14th 2009 9:34AM
Is Bit Boy as good as they claim? Either way, I'm surprised that NyxQuest/Icarian isn't out yet in the US. Europe has had it for a few weeks, and it's a worthwhile purchase.
Dave @ Jul 14th 2009 10:21AM
Too bad EA has royally boned the TeamBuilder functionality. My account got set for PS3 instead of Xbox 360, and there is literally no way to change it. This means I can create teams to my heart's content, but can't use them. There is no way to modify your profile, no way to even freaking log out! WTF EA Sports...WTF.
And now the three week wait to move my way through customer service begins... *Sigh*
