Rumor: God of War movie script leaked

The good news (well, good news if you like God of War's story), then, is that if this purported script is real (and it doesn't get rewritten to pieces, which it most certainly will, because it doesn't have any car chases or wisecracking sidekicks in it), it sticks to the game's material closely. One notable exception: the ending is different. We don't want to spoil the (possibly fake) ending of this movie that doesn't actually exist yet, so we'll leave it to you to see how Self left an opening for a sequel with a different story than what the game's sequel had.

Hades always gets a bad rap because people ignorant of greek mythology assume that since he's god of the dead, he must be like a devil, despite the fact that in greek mythology, Hades was probably the most well behaved olympian. He dind't randomly kill or maim people, and only kidnapped one chick to his underground lair to make her his bride.
Dude was no more malevolent than a common moleman.

If there is a GoW movie, my vote is for Bruce Willis or Tom Hanks as Kratos. Also, it MUST have horrible puns and play on words, such as when Kratos (aka Bruce Willis or Tom Hanks) attacks the Cerberus puppies with his mini-volcano heavy attack, he should scream, "HOW DO YOU LIEK YOUR RIBS!" and when he tears off Helios's head, he should spend at least 2 minutes making Austin Powers jokes about him losing his head.
Finally, I hope that this time we will actually see some lovin' instead of a stupid vase falling.

The sequel could only be ok if it follows the story that was proposed in one of the secret videos in God of War 1 that showed U.S. military soldiers finding the temple of pandora far into the future in the desert.

I personally think David is on the right page, Djimon Hounsou is an amazing actor, and would definatly be a perfect choice for Kratos, I know wrestlers seem like the obvious choice, but I have yet to see a movie with wrestlers in it that wasn't a disaster.....apart from Dwayne Johnson (The Rock).
Apart from the fact hes black, Djimon looks practically like Kratos, and the best thing is that he couldn't need to be so muscle bound you can't see his face, hes already a muscular guy but with the ability to use his head as well as his brawn.
@ CH3BURASHKA: Bruce Willis: Eww, hell no, I'd sooner choose Sylvester Stallone to be kratos over bruce and I don't like Sylvester either, lol

There should not be a movie. But if ther must be one the Gerald Butler is the perfect choice for kratos. And it should not totally follow the game. It should perhaps focus more on the rise of kratos as a mortal eventually turned servant of the gods.
