I'm surprised about the lukewarm reception to The Hat too. Comsidering how many Nintendo fans are signed up, and the many Mario cosplayers, I thought people would be more receptive to this.

I've registers SO many games with them but they'll only give me 280 coins. All those Wii games I got before they started the coin thing don't even count. Bastards.

Hey. I just phoned Nintendo, and they tell me the Free Download cannot be "gifted". I had assumed it would be a code or something that you would need to enter on the Wii Shop channel, but now I'm not sure. Also, they told me it would be availabe for download after midnight tonight....

Based on that, anyone want to warrant a guess as to how it works? Do you have to have your Wii linked to the Club Nintendo site? That would suck. I was hoping to put my copy up on Ebay...

I'm very disappointed. Not in the prizes, but because I only reached Gold status. 530 points. Too bad they couldn't give me some points from the several dozen GameCube and Game Boy Advance games I registered back in My Nintendo.

That's nice they made it available for Canadians too. A lot of people will be happy with these great gifts! The Mario hat is something I know lot of youngsters will adore!

I thought that the platinum awards were kinda lame. I went for the downoad though. I just don't understand why I may have to wait until November to download it. I understand having to wait to have Nintendo make enough hats and calanders to ship out, but this is a download! Give me a freakin' break.

It's not all bad. I'm saving up for a second DS game rack. I just got the one recently and it's pretty cool.

I just wish I could of got a golden Wii wheel, or SNES-style controller, or something cool like that. Why do we always get the shaft in this country when it comes to stuff like this? We even got shafted in downloadable content for games like the old Phantasy Star Online. Japan got loads of extra stuff. Hey guys? We buy games too and we like good bonuses and extra content.

Did anyone receive the Punch-Out Demo yet? It better come before November. That is a long time for a email. They should have it ready to be sent out.
