Tiger Woods and Fight Night top UK charts again
Tiger Woods Pro Tour 10 and Fight Night Round 4 dominated UK sales charts for the second week in a row (albeit in a different order), taking first and second place, respectively. In total, Electronic Arts software accounted for four of the top 10 titles for the week ending July 11, according to Chart Track.
Top 10 chart mainstay Wii Fit fell to number six, while Ubisoft's Western-themed Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood climbed ahead to number five. Activision Blizzard also scored big with Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (#3), Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (#9) and Prototype (#10) in the platform-combined top 10 list. With Transformers sneaking into the third spot, we're content to find out that, for all the cred British people get for being classy, they still make as many terrible decisions as North Americans. Cool, innit?

they're still buying call of duty 4, eh? and the only terrible decisions I see are harry potter, transformers, and wii fit, but even I rented transformers

I think Call of Duty 4 is there because it's just dropped in price over here. It's been stuck at about £40 since it came out, but just dropped to £25 a couple of weeks ago. I suppose everyone's decided to finally pick it up. I thought about it myself.

I'm amused at the NTSC label, given what the article's about.

I think you're forgetting the crumpets, old boy.

Am I the only one that wants Wii Fit to die a quick and miserable death?
Foetoid @ Jul 14th 2009 3:45AM
It's ok, Wii Fit Plus will kill Wii Fit sales for you.
tystyck1982 @ Jul 14th 2009 4:53AM
no. I wish the whole Wii Console would just die in a towering inferno of scrawny nerd kids who don't like the 360

You wouldn't say that if you saw all the lard-arsed blubber-birds dropping their c*nt-nuggets off at school every morning.
Hey, if they go back home and work off a few calories before watching @schofe on This Morning, then more power to em.

No sir you are not. + for you.

There is no need to hate.
Every damn week, at least.

I looked at the individual formats chart and I'm not quite sure how this works. In individual formats the Transformers entries is at 12 (360) and 16 (PS3). How does that result in #3 in the combined chart, when Call of Juarez only gets #5 in combined and is at #6 and #7?
(There *is* a Transformers DS entry at 37, which might explain it - but that version seems to have a different title so I would assume they shouldn't combine it! I guess maybe that's why though?)
IMO the combined chart is a bit useless in that kind of area - combining PS3/60 makes sense (they're the same game) but adding Wii into that is sometimes questionable as the Wii game is often quite a lot different; ditto for PSP and PS2... and when it gets to DS, come on, that's ludicrous, it's totally not the same game.

The conduit debuted at #32
Monster hunter freedom unite also charted on the top 50 for its 3rd week, around #49
and Buzz quiz master also for PSP debuted at #31
This is a first that two psp titles chart in europe in a LONG time.

Freedom unite ftw ^^

I cannot buy Tiger Woods 10 simply based on the fact that the gallery members clap in exact unison all the time ... no variation. Hello, 1999 called and it wants its AI back.
Okay, so I'm neurotic -- I know that's such an unimportant element of the game, but I like attention to detail and those crowd shots are just so lame.

Hello, guitar hero 3 called and it wants its AI back. Both are pretty pitiful in this area, but I would say still both great games. But if it bugs you, you can turn them off
