oh sure hate on v13 (nu) =P. as v13 player sure she owns and i love her she is like a kilik with more range. anyway her my thought on how to beat her.

main strategy is be patient and make her wiff a sword. if she does then she takes forever to recover. and stay with a pressure game when she bursts follow the first strategy again. main thing is you have to learn to block on her. when in close block low most moves come out either regular or low. until they adjust high percentage is gonna be those two. just cause her close game is mediocre does not mean she can't retaliate block after a string that leaves you open. if she is c spamming spam a and you might be able to counter. to get in on her back far back there are only slow moves she can do when she starts one dodge and dash. btw barrier bursts without her in the blast is stupid against her.

hey guys! im deciding to buy or not this game, and i ilke Fighting game solely on one aspect, the same one i preffer MK over SF and alike: The special powers nputting, i mean, in MK you have to press very precise arrows one and then the other, which helps you being accurate and make sure it happens when you want it to. But on SF and MvsC you or me at leats, are not sure if it will actually happen cuz you got to slide hard you finger over three o more arrow buttons and THEN wonder if it actually worked.

my favorite fighting game no doubt is MK4 but newest MKvsDC wasnt that great because of slower only timing dependent combo system.

so what about this? i see it and i love it, but its not the same when you play it.

Man, I can't wait to get this game, along with my shiny new TE Fightstick this weekend! I hope there are still Limited Editions of this game because I heard somewhere that they will be discontinued by next month!

Nice review David, but I think that these reviews should start scoring games in a 1-10 scale, seeing how about 70% of people (if not more) that read reviews prefer to skip to the closing paragraph and see the final score. But hey, I'm just saying.

The biggest problem online isn't actually Nu drive spammers, it's Jin Ice Car spammers.

Most any character can close in on Nu even if she spams drive, and she is made of glass when pressure is put on her. The Jin Ice Car spammers are basically the Ken of this game, but that is even punishable once you know how.

Though once you level up a little bit and start playing some higher ranked people, the Jins go away pretty quickly. Overall, it's a much better balanced game than SFIV, and I'd recommend it to people for that alone. The lowest tier characters still stand quite a strong chance, and there's no god tier with characters like Sagat. I've seen Tager (considered lowest tier) beat Rachels or Nus (considered highest tier) quite easily.

I encounter more NOEL drive spammers, personally, which annoys me more than any Nu ever could. I laugh at Jin ice-slide spammers and kick their asses with my "legit" Jin, though I think I need to work on my aerial game.

I hate the character designs so much, but because I love the Hinklemeister so much, I had to read this.

Hinkle 09.

Hinkle Forever.

Hinkle, what a man.

What a brilliant game. I am completely new to the BB/GG system so the learning curve is high, but that's part of the fun. I have played for hours in the training room and against the computer and am not bored in the slightest. Once I get everything down I'm gonna head into battle online.

Well done Aksys.

This is my current favorite among 360's fighter offerings, especially in regards to online play. I couldn't believe how good the netcode is! I play against players in Japan and across the continent with no lag whatsoever. ASW have really done an awesome job with this game and it deserves to be played by any fan of GG or any fast-paced fighter.

I can't find this game anywhere! I suppose I'm stuck waiting for the normal edition of the game to be released... It sucks because I want to play it so bad that I wish I knew about it beforehand and preordered.

What happened to the line about v-13 being patched according to Aksys? Why was this removed with no clarification on the page or statement about an update?

hmmm that is weird wonder what the reasoning of the change is. probably one of these reasons:
mention of patching is either not happening (aka blaz blue accent core plus XX) or is a surprise

or the blogger is stating something that is off the record or the companies' stance is that Nu is not OP.

or lastly wishfull thinking on the part of the blogger that was called back by the company as something that wasn't said by them

I looked at this, but I decided to go with KoF XII instead. I'll pick this up around November when its down to 35 or so. Not that its a bad game, but I've got so many other games I need to finish right now.

Have you looked at any sales charts lately? Maybe you meant that it'd be $35 NEXT November?

I already have BB and don't regret it in the slightest. I know I keep harping about the online play, but I have honestly never seen better implemented netcode this gen! For what it's worth, I think you should wait for online impressions of KoFXII because SNK's offerings on Xbox Live Arcade have had extremely shoddy netcode which pretty much killed them for me.

This has to be the most negative review I've seen of this game so far and it's not even that negative.

I missed out on the Limited Edition sale by a day up here, no one had it at all, so I'm stuck waiting for the next batch to come in on the 29th.

If Street Fighter 4 could come to PC, why not this? : )
In fact, Guilty Gear even came to the PC.

It could. BB does seem to be selling through quite nicely, or at least much better than Aksys anticipated. Word on the street is, though, that a sequel or revamp is coming to Japanese arcades in October, so they may figure it best to wait and ride the hype train a bit before porting that version to PCs instead.

The game is severely imbalanced, sure the netcode is good but it rewards spammers and some of the characters just have unfair advantages like Ragna getting health back with attacks and Noel being invincible in the starting frames of her drive combos.

I have no problem with Nu. I hate Jin's ridiculous special move set move set (freezing, ice surfing mid-air, "hundred hand slap" type, and projectiles??? it's too much!!!). I also can't stand Noel. The press 'D' then create-a-combo drives me nuts...

This game is sex. I've played SFIV like once since BlazBlue came out, and only because a friend on Live wanted to play... This is the best fighter I've ever played. "CorporateSpy" on XBox Live if you wanna throw down!

"Unless you're playing online, anyway, in which case you could just use v-13 and spam projectiles like everyone else in the world. Let's hope they find it in their hearts to balance her out. "

Learn to play.

Nu takes the most damage out of any character and if someone who knows how to "play" gets in close to her. She's in for a beating.

Meh, at least v-13 isn't as overpowered as Street Fighter 4's Seth is. Nothing against Seth Killian, but his namesake has some serious balance issues.

Anyone else notice that the PS3 version of this, with the PS3 set to PCM, is not in any sort of true 5.1 sound format?
