Ubisoft has finally revealed the first official trailer for the upcoming Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines, and it continues the trend of stunning omg-is-that-possible quality we've seen from PSP games as of late. According to Frederic Lefroncois, producer of Bloodlines, the game takes place "right after the events of Assassin's Creed as he hunts down the ascending Templars in Cyprus." He then emphasizes that "it's the only game that explains the link between Assassin's Creed and Assassin's Creed 2. If you want to understand how Ezio is born and where the Codex comes from, you need this game."
Unlike other handheld iterations of Assassin's Creed, Bloodlines will recreate the "core gameplay" of the original console game, including free-running and combat. Once again, Altair will have to do missions before completing an assassination -- however, expect a bit more variety this time around. "There are 8 new mission types," Lefroncois explains, "and we wanted each mission to feel as fresh and exciting as the final Assassination moment."
Bloodlines will be available later this year, and can be purchased as part of a bundle, which includes a white PSP-3000 system, the game, and a Memory Stick for $200. See the trailer after the break.
those graphics are looking pretty good. there are quite a few decent games on the psp coming out. but I don't find myself on the go anymore, I can't really justify getting back on board with the PSP. It was great when I was traveling though.
There's much more to be expected from a console, so it wouldn't make any sense to say "omg-is-that-possible" regarding Wii games. *Unless*!... you were saying "omg-is-that-possible, to-make-such-a-shit-game-on-the-wii?-I-thought-other-games-were-bad-but-this-game-just-blows".
From the tralier I really think it's actually gonna be good. I had my doubts but this trailer got me a whole lot interested, so did the interview on the ps blog.
The articles does say that this game will contain more variety in the types of missions you have to complete Geist. So hopefully it won't be AS repetitive.
Besides, it's a handheld game. You can't expect the world from it, especially in terms of the size of the game world. Comparatively, of course.
OK, this probably not the best place to do it, but I'm having trouble changing my password. I have it saved on my PC, but I don't remember it. I tried coping and pasting in the "old password" part, but no dice.
I think if you just enter the wrong password, the system sends you an email with your password. That's how I got my old doppelganger account back, at least.
i still want to get the first game. i watched a friend play some of the not so exciting parts and put the game off, same thing happened with wind waker
I picked up the first AC when it was released on the first day. It was my most anticipated game at the time. I really felt like I got my $60 worth out of it, even with the repetitiveness. So picking it up now at what, $20? wouldn't be a bad idea.
The WindWaker, I have to agree is probably the 2nd, if not 3rd best Zelda game IMO.
For me, Ocarina of Time is the best and then it's a close match between ALttP and WindWaker.
i liked wind waker at first, it felt familiar with new stuff but after watching my roommate get lost at see and getstuck on dungeon while we were snowed in for a couple days turn me off it for awhile.
The repetition is ONLY a problem if you have no interest in exploring the world. If you like just being handed a world and finding your way through, it doesn't get that bad. If you want an incredible experience in that regard, turn off the hud.
No map, no health, no nothing. Then you start navigating the city by it's landmarks, finding save the citizen by the audio, etc. It completely changes the game. And I've played through it twice, both ways.
they're gonna kill the PSP's revitalization with these 50 different bundles they're releasing. Rock Band, Assassin's Creed, Dissidia, and I'm sure LittleBigPlanet will get one as well.
just release the games by themselves and bring down the damn price on your hardware already. i'm starting to get severely pissed off from being an early adopter of this shit if they're just gonna bundle stuff with it later to keep the price point the same.
First of all, if you've been gaming for any respectable amount of time, these bundles should come as no surprise to you. You should know the full risks of being an early adopter and therefore have no reason to be complaining.
You have to understand that the PSP is still trailing the DS in sales and install-base. By releasing these bundles, it's an incentive for people to pick the system up who may have passed it by before. And even more so if they release separate bundles that appeal to individual demographics. It's called good marketing.
They've already dropped the price on the PSP, twice if I'm correct and you can buy the 3000 by itself for $169.99 with no strings attached. But if you're referring to the PS3's price, take a look at what you're getting first of all, and then dispute that price compared to the $299.99 price tag of the 360. Hopefully you'll see the value in the investment. If not, then you really don't need a PS3 to begin with.
Damn that sucks, you want to have the "full experience", you have to purchase an additional system, eh, its happened for other franchises and IPs as well.
Otherwise they can do some youtube watching or wikipedia reading, its not hard for people to do that if they can't play an earlier version of the game or a version that is on a platform they don't have, if I can do it, so can others, otherwise why moan about it?
@Maverick Saturn (Igor) Yes, I could go read it or watch it, but I want to play it. I like to play my games, not just watch them or read about them, maybe you like that, but I don't.
