I really want this game to be great. Remedy hasn't let me down before. I just get nervous when a game is in development for a long period of time. That is their MO, however.

But it's been too long, I wish I could forget about ever knowing anything about it and then finding out about it two months before it comes out. So I wont be so dissapointed, expecting too much and once I get to play it finding that it took so long becuase it's impossible to polish a turd. Companies really need to stop announcing games so early, take Thief 4 (a 4 is never an e) for instance when will that be out 2012?

I don't see all the fuss with this game when it seems to have a slight touch of Alone in the Dark in it. The game looks good, but I was more intrigued when it was open world than what it seems to be now.

as a ps3 owner, this is one of the few games on the 360 that I'm keeping an eye on..

I hope it turns out well, we can never have enough games like these.

Feels like a email-reply interview. I wish you had asked about the PC version! Nice interview though. Great last question!

Next-time I suppose and even if they asked him, I bet he wouldn't have given a conclusive answer anyways.

PC versions (not ports) of Xbox games are as inevitable as the sunrise. Give it time

Considering no recent 360 game has been ported (and yes they are ports), I wouldn't be too hopeful. We still even't seen Halo 3, and we already have ODST and Reach on the horizon.

Gears had extra content and better graphics (not a port). As Halo 3 is still releasing DLC I wouldn't count on that till Reach falls in 2010.

Adding in a few new pieces of content doesn't mean it's not a port.

On the other hand, higher-than-acceptable system requirements are definitely indicative of a port. See: Gears of War, Mass Effect, Saints Row 2, GTA4.

And by system requirements, I mean what's actually required to make the game playable, not the bullshit listed on the back of the box.

So yes, ports from the 360 to the PC are just that.

What they showed at E3 was absolutely not what I expected, and what they showed looked boring and rehashed.

What were you hoping for exactly? If the game succeeds in what its trying to do, it won't be a live demo kind of game. It's the kind of game you play alone with the lights out and get lost in, not get sweet headshots and fist pump your bro afterwards. I'm sure the action parts will be fun because Max Panye did it well (and I like the use of light and darkness); but let's be honest, everyone who is looking forward to this game is doing it for the story and atmosphere.

I don't know how I feel about this game.

I just don't.

I mean, I like Remedy. I loved Max Payne and the Fall of him, but I...I need more time.

I think Remedy doesn't like a bit how Max Payne 3 is evolving, but aren't going to say it out loud and possibly affect negatively to the sells of the game.

i simply hope this game exceeds expectations. The story and atmosphere, based on the E3 trailer alone, sent shivers. I really think that this game could help change horror games. Dead Space and Bioshock did a lot for the genre. Other titles like Fragile and the reimagined Silent Hill all point toward a renaissance of survival-horror games.
