Kojima finally explains his wacky countdown site

Remember when Kojima's countdown ended ... and started another countdown? Man, that was fun! The creator of the Metal Gear series seemingly had a big laugh as he teased gamers all the way to his E3 announcements: Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker for PSP, Metal Gear Solid: Rising for PS3 and Xbox 360, and Castlevania: Lords of Shadow.

As the countdown continued, the site featured a number of symbols that flashed on the screen. Many of you attempted to break the code ... but were you successful? Kojima just revealed what each of those symbols was supposed to mean:

5 = it is an MGS5 class game
S = Snake
巳＝snake in Kanji
E = E3
R = Raiden
3 = 3 from 360 and E3
6 = 6 from 360
P and S = PSP and adding 3 makes it PS3

Once again, Kojima asks gamers: "Did you like it?" We think we can speak for most gamers when we say ... "no."

Also, I can't believe they put "Did you like it?" in the article.
And yes, we did like it. That was a lame attempt at a joke, too lol.

The time remaining on any countdown timer is directly proportional to the time I will ignore any and all information referring to the company that created said timer.

I liked it, it was certainly more entertaining than nothing and it was much better than a leak that ruined any announcements.

I actually think nothing would have been more entertaining.

Perhaps this makes more sense in Japanese, but his countdown was absolutely retarded.

Only Kojima could countdown to a countdown and have fans think it was genius.

P.S. Not saying that applies to you. Just the fools that blindly follow his nonsense.

P.P.S. I love Metal Gear so I'm not hating on the series. I just think Kojima is Japan's version of CliffyB, a giant overrated douche.

I would've been more entertained if the games announced weren't disappointing or had something worth while to show off.

I'm a huge MGS fan, but the only thing that interested me from Konami at E3 was that new castlevania game. On second thought, the game might suck, but that trailer kicked ass.

Hideo was messing with our heads, teasing and screwing with us. He reminds me of an impish DM i once had who delighted giving us tiny hints about how to escape a prison cell. Once we got off-topic the walls grew spikes and started closing in on us.

Yeah... I remember thinking it was going to be a new Zone of the Enders game!

Instead, its moar "Snake..? Snake...?! SNAAAAAKE?!?!?!" And Raiden too I guess... (and didn't he say he was done with Snake too?)
Castlevania is a nice change, but Curse of Darkness was as good as it gets for 3D, so they'll have to beat that game in my mind.

Teaser website = the suckage

Thankfully, I forgive him. The Peace Walker trailer is enjoyable to watch.

The MGS Rising trailer was awful though. I don't think he had anything to do with that one.
