I'll be getting it simply for the 3D Vision support. Not enough games support it fully, and it'll be nice playing something that'll have no problem with the glasses for once.

I'm happy to see Capcom giving the PC a lot of love but I'm a bit confused as to why? I hear because the MT Framework Engine they've used in their games starts off on the PC and so porting these games to PC is very easy. More game engines should be like this then so the PC can get the games as well.

Wonder what it will look like with those Geforce 3D Glasses, its expensive for the glasses and a 3D Compatible monitor. I saw it at my local Microcenter but didn't know how to get it to work.

I answered my own question. : )
Its nice to see game engines that let games be ported onto as many systems as possible for as many people to enjoy the game as possible.

The article title should have been "Fuck up Zombies in 3D!" far more important than the fact that "re5 is comming to the pc".

Im more excited to see how bad the port will be. The RE4 PC port was the one of the ugliest and most half assed ports ever, it didnt even have lighting, it was like someone re-textured a game from 1997.

But then again, maybe someone will make a trainer that allows you to move while aiming.

I believe the PC port of RE4 was by another company and Capcom themselves will be porting this to PC so it should be better.

Also thanks to modding, I hear modders have drastically fixed up RE4 for the PC to make it much better, there's some graphics mods that make it better looking than the original console versions!

Hey, the ports of Devil May Cry 4, Street Fighter 4 at least have been great ports to the PC, why not this?

Don't forget that you couldn't aim with the damn mouse. Because everyone wants to aim with the arrow keys. When they play on a computer.

Eh,

I dunno. Since the release and poor sales of the Lost Planet PC port (it hammered a system just as hard as Crysis did in DX10 for little visual improvement), Capcom's really stepped up to the plate with their latest releases. While Lost Planet had atrocious performance, DMC4 ran extremely well even when using the DX10 renderpath and there's almost no point in benchmarking SF4; unless you're shopping around the $50 segment, you'd be hard pressed to find a videocard that couldn't max it out and do so quite comfortable. If the trend continues, RE5's shaping up to be a great port instead of a shitty one.

There is a benchmark demo here: http://www.nzone.com/object/nzone_re5_downloads.html

It supports 3D Vision, but you don't need it.

I'm pretty sure all "3d" games work with nvidia's 3D vision as it's a function of the driver.

Im interested I already have the PS3 and 360 versions.
Hopefully this is GFW Live and has new achievements to it.

But considering SFIV didn't and I think it counts towards being the same game on xbox

My brother has separate achievements for Grand Theft Auto 4 and Fallout 3 on the PC (both are Games for Windows LIVE titles) and Xbox 360.

I'm most interested in the new costumes, but the upgraded Mercenaries modes intrigues me as well. These updates could be made available for 360/PS3 as DLC, but I don't feel like paying extra for it.
