Atlus countdown pre-reveals Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey

Fans ended the suspense immediately by finding the URL for the logo for the teased game hidden in the site's source code. It's since been removed, but not before a Japanese blogger could save it! The logo for Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey can be seen above, along with what could be a release date.
There's still plenty to be revealed, like platform and, of course, what kind of game it is, but we feel a great sense of relief about not having to wait for the title.

This makes me a bit sad for Atlus because based on my previous knowledge of the countdown and the immediate replies to the post, no one really cared about THEIR countdown.

It makes me kind of sad that people can't let companies do whatever the hell they want to announce their own goddamn game titles.
They have to sneak around in the source code like a peeping thomas and find things the company hadn't intended them to see, therefore ruining the mystery and suspense the company tried to create.

yeah, well next time the company tries to 'create some mystery and suspense' with something other than a bland countdown (or in fact any kind of countdown), maybe i'll feel sorry for their gross incompetence being exposed.
no, wait, i still won't.
(and in fact, putting sneaky things in the source-code is probably the most fun - er, least un-fun - part of countdowns)
even when companies don't fuck up their countdown so that the logo is actually already there... they still leak it to famitsu several days before the countdown runs out. yay countdowns.
