Killzone 2 'Napalm & Cordite' expansion dated for July 23
The pack's release will also usher in the ability to use two more of the campaign mode's weapons in multiplayer -- but only on the new maps. The VC1 Flamethrower will appear for use on Suljeva Cliffside, while Arctower Landing will offer the opportunity to say "I love you" to your enemies using the Boltgun 4400.

it's not a giant tree and yes it's in a planter. maybe i'm thinking of the one in the market. i've only played the new maps for a few weeks

A weapon pickup? In Killzone?!
I'd be very interested to see something like the for the lightning gun... with perhaps the provisions of finite ammo and radar visibility to enemies. Would be interesting.

Nah... all part of the fun ;) People can either stay the fuck away until you've used your ammo up, or take you out as quickly as possible.

the lighting gun would REALLY be crazy to put in....and I'm sure they are working on that some how cause as it is now it really is too powerful....
on the KZ site they showed a video of an exploit they had to fix before putting the boltgun in....it seems people fired bolts into the walls and then used them to climb walls....
I would REALLY love to see them do a 2 vs 20 mode with the Mech Suits....that would be my Ultimate online KZ2 experience....

wait, what? the boltgun was in suljeva in the campaign! i guess you have more walls in blood meridian though. and suljeva is pretty open, so the flamethrower would work nice. too bad you can't use them on other maps. the boltgun and the flamethrower would both be AMAZING on the helghan industries map.

Remember the Flamethrower was fun but it actually sucked in the campaign,the range was mediocre and it was more like pissing fire.
The Boltgun by the other hand oh good times too bad there isn't enough ammo for it.

I love KZ2 but haven't bought any of the maps since I'm not sure how many people play on them. Those that have them I ask if there are plenty of games near the 32 player limit?

man I check worldwide and in my region and there's barely anyone on them, if I'm lucky I find one game in total but.... it is normally near the limit of players.
and I am on the east coast playing after work! so it's not a area/population thing

my gripe is the maps are HEAVILY played on for the first 2-3 weeks after they come out, then they dwindle off....so when I get on I tend to start a server with JUST the DLC maps in them.....Ima get my damn moneys worth out of those shits...

check out Painkiller... it pretty much has a same gun but fires much quicker and has more ammo.
Will check this out... although I haven't downloaded the previous map pack yet. Was that one worth it? (The one with retro maps)

Guerilla's really kicking ass when it comes down to expansion packs. I haven't played online at all, but since Feb, there's been like what....3-4 packs now?

ah how quickly people forget ...
an "expansion pack" used to include new game modes, player skins, vehicles, maps, weapons ...
now thanks to the consoles we have reduced the "expansion pack" to two maps that a casual modder could knock out in a couple of weeks.

until they properly fix the bullet lag i want nothing to do with this game. i played a few weeks ago and nearly all the time i got bullet lag, it may be my connection but i never used to experience the same problem on any other FPS's such as cod4

Single player expansion would be really nice at this point but chances are they may pull a Gears and end up putting the last 3 map packs and a single player level on a $20 disc and have us pay for the maps all over again
