I think these people were probably somehow responsible for the Matrix Online. The Matrix Online just was killed by Sony or the inevitable death was annouced about 1 month ago and the game was slated to close mid to end-of-july where subscribers would get refunded the unused portion of their subscription. The subscriptions were to be returned by December...so within 5 months. Isn't that nice of SOE?

Seems like a long time for a refund on a product they cancelled on their end but I guess it might be hard to get all the work done with a staff of 41 less people :|. Poor Poor SOE employees. I wish them the best of luck and wish they hadn't killed off mxo. I hope the bright side is maybe it'll leave room for another Matrix Online game to be made by a more prominent company like...bioware? Someone pick up this IP!

Chris I said that the first day I went onto home,
I can see it being the interface for the ps4, it kind of makes sense, but Natal like motion controlled xmb could be a possibility ?? Might be a bit too cumbersome to be dumped into home, but then if for example your virtual room has a tv, and you turn it on and it launches playtv or allows you to watch a film would be very interesting.. Cant really motion control it though..

PS4 - They need to have 2x cell which has a dual ppe and octo spe setup (why only have 1 ppe why not 2xppe -- if only 1 ppe possible then 3xcell ) .. A gtx 295 (even a 260)powering the gpu angle and that cpu, the devs wont know what to do with all that power damn throw in 4GB ram system (ddr2 - slow but gives enough to draw away from the bd and the hdd -- staging and its cheap and also run the os and non essentials in this ram) then another 1GB gddr5 or rambus between the spes and the graphics card, thats enough to run everything at 1080p and if they go for gtx295 well yes I cant see any of us complaining..

by 2012 I can see that being around £400 - £500 to buy and by 2015 £300-400
fully ps3 backwards compatible as well..

yea what Zach said...not to mention that while Home is not where we want it to be most of us have faith that it Will be in the next few years, HOPEFULLY at least LONG before the PS4 comes out....even tho I will be willing to bet that the PS4 will be BUILT around Home and PSN much how the 360 is built around XBL

damn that sucks....I hope those 41 people can manage off of un-employment until they can find work....my guess is that once The Agency, DC Online, and the other games they are working on comes out they will need those people back

Well the key is if they list the employees as rehireable or not. If they're listed as a no-rehire, this was a a lay-off but a cleaning house disguised as a lay-off like most companies do.

My guess would be The Matrix staff since they are closing the game down or it could also be some staff from the Vanguard team.

Well guess what asshole?

I think that news about job loses at Sony gets top billing over software that is being discontinued without any loss of jobs.

Maybe you should read and compare in what priority you think news should be posted. I'm sure the Microsoft story will get published. And I think someone should piss in your eye for being a crybaby Sony fanboy who thinks that the site is out to get them.

Shut the fuck up and sit down.
