Oh, sure. They look harmless enough when placed within the confines of your portable gaming device, but when viewed through the lens of reality, Pokémon possess a startling amount of destructive capability. This intriguing viewpoint was inspired by last week's Weekly Webcomic Wrapup winner: VG Cats' "With Great Power." Congrats! Now, perhaps you could enlighten us on the unknown, terrible powers of Digimon.
Second and third place went to xkcd's "Cutting Edge" and Digital Unrest's "Motion Plus," respectively. If you want to submit a comic for tomorrow's wrapup, make sure you leave a comment or send in a tip with a quickness!

Oh god, Digimon.
Please, don't ever mention Digimon, ever again.
Lest you provoke it into using unholy magicks.

I'm not to familiar with the series. I remember watching something about a evil monkey man that looked like a radio DJ, and something about a dinosaur T-rex with robot wings shooting giga missiles at said monkey man which led to an explosion. I don't know how it ended, but I'm certain everyone died.
Somewhere, there was a message about friendship, I'm sure.
Anyway, so there is a monster Train shown in that intro. Who in the hell would engineer a monster train? That monster is literally at the mercy of anyone who gets near the tracks. I'm sure it eats passengers as nourishment.

Hell yeah, Digimon Tamers was the best season of the four I have seen. It had this awesome grimdark atmosphere that kicks in just after the happy part and which brings a lot of nice stuff like Beelzemon and the D-Reaper. Oh, and Digimon die too, which adds more to the darkness of the series.
Digimon Adventure was cool. I still like it just for the nostalgia factor.
I only watched D. F. because of Ranamon. She was actually a pretty funny villain, and very underrated too.
Finally, Digimon Adventure 2 was the worst of all the seasons. They totally had to mess up the final part. Ugh.
I know there is also a fifth season. I just haven't seen it because I'm too lazy to look it up. One thing's for sure though, the Digimon anime was, and will always be better than the Pokemon anime, but the Pokemon games will be better than Digimon ones.

*happy sigh* I love applying reality checks to fantasy worlds for which we take their logical fallacies for granted.

I'm a huge fan of VGCats, when Scott updates at least... but taking an approach to video game humour of "lol apply real world logic to in-game comedy" It's just too easy, too cheap of a laugh. :-\

I really liked the Brawl in the Family one. It was just so silly.

The more recent games have kinda had the legendaries take the roles of gods rather than just mythical beasts. I mean, seriously... Arceus created the universe! That's a bit over the top!

Wow... Pokemon sure has come a ways since I played it. What type of pokeball do you need to catch the motherfucking creator of the universe.

yeah joe, that's what i was thinking. they're not really leaving themselves room for more legendaries.
the list of legendary attributes (some legendaries have the same):
fire, lightning, ice, water, time, space, earth/land, plants, dreams, nightmares, steel, DNA, wishes, sky, sea, knowledge, emotion, will, antimatter, and god.

@ blank-mage: people are actually complaining for the ton of legendaries. You can only catch the god of pokemon by going to an event...

Fun thing is that the event has you climb a literal Stairway to Heaven.

I really enjoyed the art in that VG Cats. Sometimes though it seems like Scott makes his comics overly long to justify the time in between them.

I find VG cats funny, but Scott doesnt update worth crap nowadays. Its not uncommon for him to go 3+ weeks without a single peep on his news post/new comic being posted.

Eh, VGcats was going to win anyway, but I just hope he comes with something a little more fresh the next time he does a comic (I'm hoping before September).
Anyway, here's the +1 Comic for the week:

You may want to click the link in the newspost since this is kind of a running gag with the comic.
