Our knowledge of the inner workings of Electronic Arts' microtransaction-infused RTS BattleForge is limited, but we're still pretty excited about the Renegade Edition expansion that's coming to the game this August. The add-on will add 60 new cards to the game, each representing new units and buildings. While we may not know exactly how those cards are used, our history with the Pokémon TCG taught us one hard and fast rule -- more cards is always a good thing.
However, we can't begin to guess the purpose of the "dual orb cards and special affinities" that the expansion will also bring to the game, but the announcement post on BattleForge's blog says they'll "deepen and enrich the strategical possibilities of the decks and the combat itself." We guess we'll take their word for it.

I've had this game sitting on my hard drive for a while now, it seemed cool from what I played of it but I haven't really taken the time to explore it.

I love this game, problem is it's taken them ages to release new cards, I don't think anyone's going to come back for it.

I played this for a while. The game is way too slow for my liking, but the biggest problem with it is that unless you have the micro-transaction-obtained cards you get thoroughly ass-rammed playing against other players.

120 new cards, Not 60 ! :) silly authors, need to get their sources correct.

Industrial owns all your BFPoints :)
Dual orb cards are just cards that you need more than 1 colored orb to cast
like 00RP would need 4 orbs, 2 any color 1 red 1 purple.
Preview of 1 card is also up...get your enlightenments ready!

dont get how you can say the game is slow, in pvp you barely have time to write gl hf because its just instant action all the way through the game..
and ofc you will need to buy cards to beat other players that have bought cards but its not really that expensive, and imo really worth it..
really looking forward to the new cards :D
