Dante's Inferno spawns DC comic

A preview issue of the comic will be distributed at the San Diego Comic-Con this week at the EA and DC booths. Also to be revealed at the Comic-Con: the first trailer for the Dante's Inferno animated feature.
With both a comic series and an animated feature on the way, Dante's Inferno is becoming quite the franchise. Frankly, we can't wait for the novelization.

Do you just have to be a big fan of the comic genre to be into this? This seems so remarkably bland and uninspired that I have a hard time following why people would get into this comic, or why anyone in charge would think this would be a good idea.
The Dead Space comic, I can understand more, but this just seems a little silly in my opinion.

I just think this whole comic-based-on-game idea is just flat out stupid. It just doesn't make any sense to spend all your time making a game just to turn it into a comic book; I mean, you might as well make the comic instead.

Is it just me or are they really making a big marketing blitz out of this game that, unless I'm mistaken, nobody really gives all that especially much of a shit about?
The most excited comment I've heard from anybody about this game is, "Yeah, that looks like it might be cool."
