"Early doors" is the new phrase of the day. Use it to confound people at your workplace or school.

Don't worry Max, you're not the only brit who hasn't heard it before. Probably a regional thing. Of course living in scotland phrases like that don't really make it up here, but we can confuse you all with the wonders of doric :)

I'm guessing he actually said "early days" but the interviewer misheard him and chalked it down to a British thing.

Nice Comment Smart Ass, but you Fail anyway.

If you had played Alien Swarm: Unreal 2004 Total Conversion Mod, then you would know exactly what this Game is going to be like.

Frigging Amazing, I myself am looking forward to it, even if you are not.

Wait, so do you mean that Shadow Complex looks so good that it makes everything else look bad by comparison, or do you mean that Shadow Complex looking bad somehow makes every other unrelated game on XBLA look bad too?

I don't get it..

tmac,

"Ahh, a PC game. How cute." Your point would be what, exactly? At least UT2004's gameplay wasn't nerfed in the same way UT3's was because, back then, Epic didn't try accommodating an audience that, apparently, doesn't have the faintest clue on how to use a keyboard and mouse properly for a fast paced twitch shooter.

Team 17 has always been hellbent on one-upping Psygnosis, of course they aren't releasing on an SCE platform first. Lots of love for Team 17 (and Psygnosis), so I hope the game plays well. Alien Breed was a huge part of my childhood, would be a shame to not be able to play this game due to timed platform exclusives.

Is it Amiga day or something? Bizzare Creations post, followed by Team 17, maybe we'll get some Bullfrog, DMA, and Reflections news now...

I think this statement shows Microsofts enthusiasm towards making a wide collection of different genres for all of its audience, thus meaning they are hellbent on making sure that partnerships with all companies big and small are equally as important for new and future projects. Thumbs up MS!

well if they do want to make money then they should release it on p.c, you know why?? something called steam that has proved 2,000 times and more, how stupid and retarded is that old "you can´t make money on the pirate storm pc" line?

but anyway it´s a team 17 title without worms... i don´t know what could happen but i don´t think it´s going to be something amazing.....sorry but they don´t sound so amazing after that larry game that for some weird reason they are trying very hard to forget, wonder why? :D

*Is extremely confused*

Well, according to the article, Team 17 says Microsoft puts a lot of faith in them. As a result, they're releasing the game on Microsoft's XBox 360.

It seems to make perfect sense to me. I don't get what you mean, why does that line of reasoning suggest it should go to PC first?

Because the PC platform has had "early faith" in them since god damned 1995.

deaftly,

Digital distributors such as Steam and D2D accounted for $1 billion worth of software sales alone just last year; considering Alien Breed will be available only on those digital distribution services and that most console gamers haven't even heard of (let alone played) the original game so many years ago, I fail to see how Team 17 wouldn't be able to make as much or more money on Steam than what they could on XBLA. As far as "Microsoft's early faith" is concerned, Microsoft simply paid for timed exclusivity; another member of Team 17 confirmed as much not too long ago.

Team 17 is doing something other than milking the Worms franchise yet again?

And "They showed a lot of faith in us early doors"? probably just means that Microsoft threw them some cash to get it first, like it usually means when something comes with the 360 before other platforms. No shocker there.

amazing right?? i can´t believe they are going to try to do something new!!!...... oh wait, it´s a remake of an old game they did more than 15 years ago...so i guess the word "new" doesn´t apply here....

>And "They showed a lot of faith in us early doors"? probably just means that Microsoft

what it means is that nobody in microsoft knows that they created LSL box office bust, and they should hope nobody finds out........

I'm so confused, is Tmac a 360, PS3, or Wii troll. He seems to hate everything. Since both Shadow Complex and Alien Breed use Unreal Engine 3 they will both look pretty good. SC is a 2.5D side scrolling shooter and AB is a 3/4 top down shooter, can't they both be good?

Hey i need to ask this. I just finished Alien Shooter 2 on Steam. Is this a similar style of game? I really enjoyed AS2 and would love for this to be an updated, graphically enhanced version of the same gameplay.
