Wii Sports Resort! Woo! Should be a fun game for me and the roommates.

Also: Hoping that "TBA" for PSN Games is soon replaced by "Trine"

I wouldn't count on it unless you are in Europe. I actually emailed Frozenbyte (the developer) and they said they were aiming for a release in Europe by the end of July and "maybe" by the end of August for the US :(

I think the catch will be that it isn't fun. Has anyone liked the Watchmen games? They are on sale for around $10 on ebay so I was thinking of maybe picking one up. I know they weren't the best, but that was at $20.

The catch is that it's a time-share resort.

I tried the demo, and I love me some brawlers...but lets just say you'd be better playing The Warriors again.

Ah.. so the #1 selling game of the year (Wii Sports Resort) is releasing this week.

WSR is going to beat MW2, i think. MW2 is definitely going to outpace it in 1st-day/week/NPD sales, but Wii Sports Resort is going to be the victor

Oh I have.. but i also know that many millions of wiis sold because of wii sports was cool and this is its sequel.

MW2 is going to do well, but it has a certain demographic. Wii Sports Resort will appeal to everyone.

Wasn't Wii sports sold with every Wii?

So wouldn't this non bundled game be a true measure of how popular this genre on the Wii is? I mean, everyone who bought a Wii got the sports game. Question is: How many people actually wanted the game, and secondly how many people enjoyed it enough to go out and buy this new game.

I'm not knocking the game because I've played the one that came with the Wii and enjoyed it. I'm more interested in how well the game does without a Wii bundled with it.

ill finally take a look at the watchmen game. no way i was buying it off xbla with no chance of trading it in and i doubt ill see a copy at blockbuster. despite terrible reviews i still want a chance to revisit the watchmen universe again. sans blue dong.

I'll give Monkey Island another run through. Probably will be playing some more Red Faction: Guerrilla and I'll be giving 1vs100 another try, although that game frustrates the flying fuck out of me.

Speaking of Monkey Island: I put my save files on a flash drive and tried to put them in the MISE folder of my other computer, but the game doesn't seem to recognize them. I'd really rather not replay the first two chapters.

Does anybody have any ideas about what I could do?

I bought Monkey Island the other day for $5, how long does it take to play through? I've never played it before.

I want Lucas Arts to release Maniac Mansion.

Assuming the game has four parts, I'm halfway through and I've been playing for about 5 hours or so.

I'm playing the Special Edition though. I've had to use the hint system in a couple of places, but if I hadn't then I'd probably still be stuck back on Part One.

It'll probably take you about 5 to 6 hours if it's your first time playing it. It really depends though, you can be stuck on a single thing for days on end. You really have to think outside of the box for Monkey Island.
Also, if you can pick something up, pick it up. You never know when something will come in handy.

I'm playing the Special Edition version on XBLA. 5-6 hours doesn't sound too bad, maybe I'll play an hour each night this week.

Is WiiSports Resort Tuesday or next Sunday? I've seen event stuff that ties it to Sunday.... and I didn't see it in any of the ads this weekend.

Nintendo's top games have been relegated to Sunday launches, but i remember reading something at my GameStop indicating a 29th launch (and that is where i have it preordered, sadly enough)

Meh nothing really interesting again this week. If I had a Wii I'd consider renting Little King's Story...but I don't, at least not until december so it'll have to wait until then.

I'll probably rent Little King's Story myself. I'm kinda happy not many games are coming out. Saves me money to buy Watchmen, Coraline, and Robot Chicken: Star Wars Episode II on DVD.

It's a good thing I do have my old games like Fallout 3 to keep me busy, cause there's been almost nothing but steaming piles of crap released the last month and a half or so.
