This Week on the Nintendo Channel: Wii Sports Resort challenges

Nintendo is doing the obvious thing on the Nintendo Channel this week: advertising its games! One game, to be exact -- Wii Sports Resort has taken over the channel in a series of vignettes featuring professionals participating in their respective field in-game. The video above shows a Hollywood stuntman dueling Nintendo's guinea pig in the new sword-fighting minigame, and another features some world class canoeists throwing down in their sport.

I guess I'm not missing much by not constantly using my Wii online.

missing the occasional great wiiware or virtual console game.

Yes, you are missing some nice stuff... Just not a lot of nice stuff. lol it is pretty sad.

But Nintendo doesn't care, because they turn profits on systems sold, so people buying it and never using it doesn't mean much to them.

Oh, I do get the odd game or two that comes around, but I don't use the online functions all the time. I haven't bothered with even looking at the Nintendo Channel, but I do occasionally look at the shop.

As for Online gaming I have to go to my library to connect my Wii. I usually have to get permission to use a back room or else kids start swarming all over me. My Mom is too cheap to have high speed Internet at home.
