Final Fantasy IV coming to Japanese VC Aug. 4

The original Final Fantasy IV -- sans DS upgrades -- will hit Japan's Virtual Console on August 4 for 900 Wii Points. The news comes soon after Final Fantasy IV: The After Years was summoned to the region. The release of the fourth installment seems natural, as Final Fantasy I - III are already available on the VC in Japan.

So, yeah, still nothing new to report about any of the classic Final Fantasy games coming to North America. It appears those seeking a potion of nostalgia will have to consume it across the many iterations released on Nintendo handhelds over the years.

I Just hope they release the GBA remakes of them with all the extras. Cause I can't find them anymore, lol.

It's alright, considering NOA's idiotic approach to virtual console games, and the fact that FF II, III, and V will probably have to be re-translated, I'm not expecting to see ANY Final Fantasy for at least 2 years. Either that or we'll see one at the 400 game mark, then the next one at the 450 game mark...

II, III, and V simply aren't coming to the North American virtual console.

It's not like there's a shortage of ways to play any of these games anyway.
