The drum beats look too easy, though i haven't listened to a lot of beatles stuff so i dunno if it will all be like that, but otherwise fun :)

not a knock on ringo but most of the drum beats will be simplistic but there are a couple of songs that will be tricky

but if you want to ramp up the difficulty sing and drum at the same time

I was at the Paul McCartney concert at Citi Field on Saturday and they had a The Beatles: Rock Band station set up for everyone to try out the game. I didn't get to try it cause the line was long and the concert was about to start but everyone seemed to be enjoying it. Definitely a day one purchase for me.

I'm not really a Beatles fan, but I didn't know that Twist and Shout was a Beatles song. I just knew it as that song from the parade dance scene in Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

Difficulty wise I think it's being played on medium, expert would look too chaotic in a trailer and they want people to think it'll actually be playable besides we all know there are going to be a few cake walks and a few super frustrating murder songs that you want to die from playing. Considering the slight changes added with the inclusion of harmony I'm wondering if even the lone single player guitarist will be forced to sing? Also I'm thinking it probably wont be exportable to regular rockband, which makes sense even if that wasnt an addition since you dont want to encourage people renting the game just to buy the tracks for 5 bucks. They're gotta be selling the game stand alone without instruments right? I mean the authentic guitar designs are cool but I'm not going to buy a whole set just for them.

the songs aren't exportable, they confirmed it a while back. and the renting/buying used for exporting thing was solved with the AC/DC pack. each game included a code for you to export it with.

Then I realize that it's The Beatles and any list of Beatles songs will be amazing.

I can't wait for this game.

Funny story actually, I had 60 dollars and was debating whether to save the money for this game or buy a 50 dollar psn card. I decided to buy a card but to my surprise every single psn card was sold out and i took that as a sign that i should buy this game.

As for the setlist these are fantastic songs but I want Helter Skelter and for Harmonix to go off the beaten path and use songs that are primarily piano. Don't introduce new peripherals but let me use the guitar. Sure it won't be realistic but at least we'll get many other songs.

Also please please put Rocky Raccoon on the disc or at least make it DLC

/end rambling

The motions do look somewhat robotic, which is creepy when you take to account that half the band isn't amung the living (like some twisted Hall of Presidents thing, but without Lincoln jamming on Bass.) But the overall presentation is still very good, with the screaming fans for the ealier tunes and the trippy visuals with their later stuff. I just hope that it's more than say 40 songs in the package for the prices they are asking for it. Either way this is DEFINITELY on my list of games for '09. might even pick up one of the sweet guitars too.

If you were alive and aware enough to experience the social climate from which The Beatles emerged, I can certainly understand why one would be a fan. The Beatles are not relevant in this century except for that whole invented nostalgia thing, like the perfect families of the 1950s and such. The only reason why 18 year-olds and the like, think they like The Beatles is because someone told them they were supposed to. It could be your grand parents, parents, or the people that you smoked your first joint with. The reality is that most of the actual 'Beatlemaniacs' who actually 'got them' are 50+ years old. It's like an 18-year-old in 2009 saying they have a real uncorrupted understanding of the decisions made that led to the Monroe Doctrine.

First, learn to use the reply system correctly.

Second off, I like the Beatles because they make fantastic music. Good music doesn't die out over a period of time.

I like all sorts of classic rock, AC/DC, the Who, Journey, Boston, Rolling Stones, etc.

And, I like modern music as well. I also enjoy more Indie stuff, as well as some (note: some) classical music.

So to say I like the Beatles because someone told me to, I say you're wrong. Someone may have turned them on to me, but so what, you almost never find music yourself nowadays. You're always being introduced to it, either through a person, the radio, internet, a video game, film, etc.

And I stand by what I said, you're argument that you're too young for the Beatles is silly and no real music lover who ever make a claim such as that. If you don't like them, that's fine, your opinion, but to say it's because you're too young is rather juvenile.

The Beatles are not awesome. The Beatles marketing, was awesome.

Boston and Journey should never be listed with The Who or the Rolling Stones...EVER.

The Beatles are no longer making music. They made music, and it wasn't great.

Uh, I was just listing classic rock bands I like. I was saying they were as good or anything, though I think Boston is one of my favorite classic rock bands.

Also, that Beatles comment of yours is just opinion. You're entitled to it, for what ever reasons you think. I will however say that a lot of songs by the Beatles are phenomenal pieces. Sure, a lot of their earlier stuff is more pop and 50's-esque rock-n-roll, but a lot of their later work is absolutely amazing. Of course, this is all just my opinion.

Doesn't anyone think arguing about what music is "good" is pointless?

Music is like food, some people love some stuff, some people hate some stuff. Do you ever see someone on the forums saying "OMG roast beef is terrible, you are less of a person because you like roast beef. Go eat some chicken, that's real food."

Let people like what they like and learn where arguments should take place.

But that said...

Considering there's only 4 main characters in the game, couldn't they have made the models look better? This is some, like, PS2-level shizz!
