Ireland-based RealView Innovations is going to give a little more
depth to PSP games this holiday season, with the launch of its new peripheral, the V-Screen. According to the press release, the device "enhances the perceived depth of the 2D screen image." Of course, it also makes the PSP significantly less
portable, so you have to be pretty committed to kind-of-3D imagery to use it.
On the other hand, the V-Screen (as far as we can tell) doesn't require the user to get right up to the PSP like the
other 3D attachment, reducing both neck strain and resemblance to
Spock. Also, unlike the Solid Eye, the V-Screen isn't designed to work with just a single game.

Still seems to be a bit too much like the Virtual Boy for my tastes.

Remind me again why I should get the expensive crap for my portable backup entertainment.

There's probably no reason to get it, but if there's one thing that the Wii taught us is that there are people who buy all tons of crap.

If it really worked and there were good (i.e., Sony-made) games made for it, then I would be somewhat interested.

Hi there I just had to add my comments the V-screen for the Sony psp handheld is truly a brilliant bit of kit I had the pleasure to see it live in Birmingham and I am launching this at my website www.specialist-gifts.com.
I tested it and it does make games feel and look like it's 3D so why not wait for your judgement when it is released in late October 2009.
