Granted, it's old hat for anyone that's played the game before, but, for those unfamiliar with the game, the videos offer a good idea of what's possible with different characters (particularly the Iron Man video). Check out the strategy videos after the break.

The backgrounds, which were originally 3D, are being rendered at 1080p.
But the characters, which are sprites, are simply upscaled (you can choose what type of upscaling you want for the sprites, which is cool).

Wow, that Iron Man "strategy" video is awful. The narrator talks about several moves, but the video doesn't actually display them. Then for an added bonus, it's flat out wrong when it says that Iron Man only has the one hyper combo, the Proton Cannon. Iron Man also has the deluge of rockets that shoot straight up and rain pain on his rival's head. I can't now recall the name of it, but it was quarter circle down-back + KK.

Allow me to clarify that.
Recently Marvel has become much bigger than it was when the game was made. The amount of money it would cost Capcom to have an acceptable number of Marvel characters would likely be far greater than acceptable.
This is why they've done the Capcom VS Tatsunoanuenaksedau stuff instead. It's cheaper.

As much as I loved the Marvel vs. Capcom (& preceeding X-Men vs. Street Fighter) games over MAME, these vids just highlight how basic the tactics really are - if you can start juggling your opponent and keep them in the air, you're unbeatable!
Still, the Hyper combos are gratuitous in a good way.

Wolverine and Ryu lock eyes and then throw down, I can accept that, they're fighters after all. Same with Hulk and Zangief, they're just muscle bound slobber knockers. However, Storm saves Jill from a pack of Zombies and Jill launches a rocket at her? What a bitch.
Also, Iron Man is a total douche for unleashing his chest cannon at some poor kid that wandered into his lair.

Why is this game still being pushed...? Seriously, it's old, it's got an annoying boss, Cable + skill spam > everything, and it's not like the graphics have been updated.
I should have kept my DC copy mint and sold it for $21834082340834 since people are still drooling for this nonsense.

You might have gotten $80 for it....but its nowhere near as expensive as say...FFVII PS1 disc....I've seen those go for as much as $190
but the reason that we go crazy over stuff like this is because it was a part of our childhood....something we grew up on....something that for some reason or another we either no longer have and want to play again....OR we DO have and want to play on another system with our friends that didnt have it, this way we can play people around the globe....cant fault them for pushing it....

Mega Man was one of the more crappy characters in the game. Iron Man has a pretty brutal hyper move. Iron Man would destroy him no problem.

im super excited for this game even tho im gunna suxor at it cuz i played it like no more than 25 times at arcades throughout my life and no where else.
