GTA IV: The Ballad of Gay Tony, Episodes from Liberty City hitting Oct. 29

Rockstar has dated the second Xbox 360-exclusive DLC expansion for Grand Theft Auto IV, The Ballad of Gay Tony, for October 29. A disc-based retail compilation of the new episode and the game's first add-on, The Lost and Damned, titled Episodes From Liberty City, will be available the same day for 360. The news comes via a tweet on the company's Twitter feed and two official site updates.

The new DLC will be priced at 1600

($20) while Episodes will run $39.99 and will not require a copy of GTA IV in order to play. To coincide with the announcement, Rockstar has updated the official Ballad of Gay Tony site with a new desktop background -- there's even an iPhone-formatted version for you mobile mobstas.

I'm still kind of pissed I bought the DLC. If I would've known they were coming out with a disc, I'd rather would've bought the disc.

You don't have to be pissed since you played it, you own your DLC, you can erase it from your drive and download it over again and again !

Nice to see them coming out in disc format, haven't gotten to play the first episode yet, just wait until this bundle is out. But I still am holding out hope it'll come to the PC version, or I'll have to get it for the 360 and wipe off the dust. : )

I too hope the PC gets it. After all, it would be sold through Games for Windows Live, so Microsoft would still be the ones making the money. And I'm fairly sure that the time to hope they can sell 360's with GTA4 dlc exclusivity has passed.

this is a great package. I sold my copy of GTA IV a while ago, after I beat the story, and realized there wasn't anything to do other than get nagged by your "friends." So, I haven't played TLaD even though I wanted to, but now I can play both

Wow, don't even need the retail copy of GTA4. Huge props to Rockstar. I think I'll wait till the disc drops to $20, though. I am sure it is worth the $40 tag, but I'm a very unemployed college student : )

Misty, on the cover of GTA 3 was in the game, and I read that the above image is of Gracie Ancelotti, the girl you kidnap in GTA 4. The girl on the cover of GTA CW is in the game as well, though she's not there for very long.

i would prefer it if this DLC had the same gripping and serious story as TLAD and GTA IV regular, not just a bunch of gay jokes

Well, if you don't catch the satire in a feminist rating the face/body of a highly sexualized woman drawn purely to sell a game that also portrays sexualized and degraded women, you're probably a lost cause.

i dont think it's fair to say GTA degraded women. Sure there were prositutes, but there was also a child molester serial killer and irish bomb makers, it was just another part of the city. The main female characters were anything but sexualized, mallorie? Kate looked like my friggin mom, elizabeta was the boss of most of bohan

Man, whats up with Rockstar? Showing a weasel in the 1st DLC and now GAY tony? Something has got to be up.

Not until this fall I believe, and I thought it was supposed to be shipping with all dlc. I am not 100% on that though
