"We know, we know, it's just a video clip. And yes, we know that we've been burned by sexy trailers for mediocre licensed games before. But this new trailer for Iron Man (shown during last night's Spike VGAs) is just so freaking good, we're finding it hard to keep our cynical composure.Never, ever forget this lesson: You can believe what we're saying 99.9% of the time. But when it comes to pretending to be a man in a robot suit, we are frail, weak, and, above all, not to be trusted.
How about when Iron Man throws a fighter jet, or when it grabs a missile and redirects it? How about the original gray armor? Awesome. Everything here is."
Here's your first look at Iron Man 2 in action

There, that was the first trailer for Iron Man 2. Now, here's a brief history lesson, courtesy of "Iron Man's new trailer looks unexpectedly awesome":

Yeah wolverine was pretty fantastic. Riddick was a remake but it still counts

I believe Kane and Lynch was based off Heat and I thought it was a good game, so I say Kane and Lynch.

Shitty game, no real way to advertise it other than to say "Last one sucked, but this one, this one will be totally awesome".

This trailer is giving me blindness or epilipsy. The lighting keeps cutting out every second. This was an over produced trailer with too many cuts (blinks) in the film.
Iron Man 2 hurts my eyes. You try looking into a light thats turning on and off repeatedly.

and by before you mean by THE FIRST IRON MAN, developed by the same studio making this game.
Pretty doesn't equal good. It's what's on the inside that counts :)

looks as crappy as the first one, all the cool stuff was QTEs, and that kick he did is probably one of only 3 or 4 attack animations. Crimson Dynamo looked badass though

Haha Justin. As soon as I saw this article in my RSS reader, I immediately thought back to the hype about the last Iron Man game. Don't worry, we all fell for it.

this game looks like X Men Wolverine. It looks more linear so you don't have to do the horrible flight combat.

In all honesty, Iron Man is not a bad game. Its very average. But it works. It does lock up sometimes, but otherwise, you can play it, fly around, blow crap up, use moves, finish optional objectives, upgrade your gear a little and pick loadouts. For what it is at this point ($10-15 game) its not that bad. I picked it up from Gamefly a while back and beat the crap out of it.
Totally acceptable comic hero entertainment. If Iron Man 2 is in the same ballpark? I'll Gamefly that one, too.

Nope. I liked the first one as well. Wasn't the best game I ever played, but I enjoyed it. And that's what I look for in a game

Why is there an Iron Man 2 game coming out? Is there going to be a new movie released soon?
I would rather watch the movie than play the game.

With the amount of CGI in this type of movie, they are probably done filming already.
Cool.
Look forward to that movie.

Yes, principal filming is already done as of a couple of days ago.
As before I'm expecting this movie to be awesome and this game to be utterly terrible.

The trailer really isn't anything special IMHO. The first game looked good, but turned out to be pretty bland when you actually got the controller in your hands. This is really something Sega seems to be specializing in lately: great looking games that aren't terrible, but aren't that much fun either.

Sega today is like your old dog Sparky coming back as a zombie. Sparky had a good, long life but for some reason just wouldn't stay dead when his time was over. You're kind of glad he's around because you remember the old times fondly, but he's just not the same. He doesn't do fun stuff anymore and occasionally he eats one of the neighbor's cats' brains.

The announcer that says "Iron Man 2... the videogame" sounds a lot like the guy that passed away several years ago. His name was Don LaFontaine. Did they find an impersonator? Did they create some sort of Zombie out of him and throw some words together from prior takes? Or... since he did pass in Sept of 2008, did he actually have a lot of audio to use.

Looks like crap. That trailer is just weak. I played the demo for the first game and did not even finish it.

The first Iron Man game was an abomination. The only worse game I've every played is Drake of the 99 Dragons. Anyone familiar with this game ought to understand a comparison that dire.
The first game was basically all shine. It was capitalizing off of the excitement from the movie to sell a terribly developed shell of a game to make a dirty, shameless dollar. It had just enough polish to make it look like a full game. Aside from the models for Iron Man the models in the game all lacked polish. They were very crude and screamed of having little effort put into them.
They tried saying that the storyline would diverge from the movie plot, just like we're hearing now, but it was so much worse than that. Anyone who saw the movie would recognize a lot of vague references to scenes and lines from the movie. These however were chopped up and cheesy only further marred by the poor face models with horrible lip-syncing and absolutely atrocious voice acting.
The absolute worst part of the first game was the gameplay itself. As many people pointed out Iron Man very appropriately flew like he was constantly blitzed out of his mind. Flight controls were clunky and slow. Combat was nothing short of a chore. Air combat was bad enough. You flew around in the air, providing a nice target for all the world's tanks and missiles, shot the same dumb 2 weapons at everything in one huge sandbox arena after the other that was just too big with not enough in it. Every area felt needless large, just adding to the tedium or getting from objective to objective. Ground combat was just sad. You can the same 3 punch combo you used on everything from Joe Blow soldier, who is mysteriously hard to hit for a guy in freaking power armor, and the tanks. You could do the cool high speed movie landing, slamming into the ground and doing the cool slow standup, "I'm a badass in power armor" bit, and you were generally rewarded for doing this by losing half your health meter from getting shot up while you were just standing up.
The first game had a laundry list of terminal flaws that condemn it to my list of one of the worst games I've ever played. This trailer gives me no reason to believe the second will be any better. It looks like more of the same crap.
