We were wondering to ourselves -- after watching the four minutes of torturous explanation in the video above -- what does "featurette" mean, exactly? Dictionary.com calls it a "short movie." Though we wouldn't exactly classify the video above as a "short movie," it is short and there are moving things in it, so we guess it'll have to do while we wait for the game to release a week later than expected.
New Wolfenstein 'featurette' features more stuff you already know

I like how the person that posted this treats Wolfenstein likes it just some cliche FPS. Wolfenstein 3d is the game that created FPS and is one of the greatest games ever. Show a little bit a respect.

People forget about Wolfenstein Enemy Territory as well. It's probably the best free FPS ever, and I personally think it has one of the best class systems in any FPS.
Wolfenstein has legs to it, I just don't know if this particular game is going to be good or not.

I can't wait to kill Mecha Hitler and brag about the achievement to confused passersby.

I read that the multiplayer will be like RTCW and that was just a masterpiece, but I think the mp was done by nerve in rtcw, if they manage to make the mp anywhere near as good as rtcw it will be awesome. Splash damage's take of the mp I didnt like that much.
Im waiting to see what this is like, if they have done this right it could absolutely awesome.

Yeah, Activision marketing seems savagely uninspired about this. I'd love to get a closer look at all the concept art shown in the background, and could do with fewer of those dev heads repeating their standard dev phrases. They must be thinking low of their core audience. The game itself looks pretty cool, definitely getting it.

Is it even possible to be "savagely uninspired?" That's like having "raging ennui."

Honestly, I couldn't be less interested in this game. Sure, Wolfenstein 3D was a gaming milestone and lies at the root of FPS lineage, but art doesn't evolve simply by pushing the same buttons. People treat this stuff as cliche because all the themes here - WW2, Nazis, zombies, energy weapons - have all been done and done and done and combined and done and done. Even "the Veil" has been done before.. anyone remember Soul Reaver?
I have plenty of respect for the original and the innovative developers who came up with it, but surely the best way to honor that accomplishment would be to come up with something that is as different to today's games as Wolf3D was to games of its time. The gaming medium as an artform has such a ridiculous amount of potential, it gets kind of tiresome seeing developers think inside the same squares for so many years.
I don't care if the graphics are awesome. I want NOVEL IDEAS.

I want this, I don't know why but I do. The crazy stuff about 'the veil,' though, I'm not so sure about.

Why do you morons keep bringing the game down? This trailer was great (well, for people interested in single player).
If you dont like the game, dont post it, or STFU and go play Call of Doo Doo, I dont need to hear your opinion on this classic franchise.
