Uh... how about no. The movie was excellent. It took some liberties sure, but it worked well enough and was an overall excellent adaption of the graphic novel.

The only people I've met that think it was bad were the morons who went to see it expecting an action movie where you can turn your brain off and watch people in tights fight.

Thats the quickest downvote I've ever seen. I thought the people playing Nite Owl and Silk Spectre were terrible. Other than that pretty okay.

I thought Nite Owl was ok, but Laurie was like a bitchy teenager. And they gave The Comedian super strength, apparently.

But other than that, they did a great job translating it to a movie. If Alan Moore wasn't a crotchety old manbaby, he'd be proud.

As long as were picking at all the little things that were bad about the movie let me point out the thing that almost ruined that movie for me: the soundtrack. The songs were poorly chosen and poorly integrated (they were often inappropriate for the scene or too loud). The best example of this being Hallelujah, which did not belong in the scene with Night Owl and Silk Spectre AT ALL. Overall I thought the movie was very good though.

Laurie's mom really pissed me off too. Overact much?

I just got pissed when the characters referred to a group of superheroes called "The Watchmen." Proved that the makers of the film had no idea what the point of the novel was.

yeah that movie was/is asstastic! and talk about "talky" and boring. geez. and why did we have to see dude's blue dingy so much throughout the movie?

I didn't know that calling the group Minutemen was such an integral part of plot. And here I thought that Watchmen was about showing that there's no such thing as black and white even in the superhero world.

Do I get a chance to say how boring the movie was? Cause god damn, it was a boring movie. Faithful recreation of 4 hours of (overrated) reading in 3 hours of (not worth rating) screen time.

My two cents - The movie and graphic novel were all most exactly the same. I thought they did a great job with the movie up until the end. The whole explosion in NY wasn't handled very well in the movie. The graphic novel did a fantastic job of making that moment feel a lot more epic and important. The movie just sort of quickly glanced over the fact that the city was destroyed and millions of people were murdered. I felt like it really downplayed the significance of what happened and the importance of it.

So now I have to go through even more fucking menus to start the game? Fan-fucking-tastic.

So does the blu-ray movie does have the game included? Because that's how I'm reading it...

No, they did it sort of interesting, you put it in and in the ps start up menu under game is the actual game and in the movie section on the ps menu is the special feature part

They give you the regular movie blu-ray disc and then instead of putting the bonus features that comes with the regular blu-ray disc seperately it is combined with the game

Argh, you know, I meant to put "internet meme," but alas, I fail.

I think that was the point of the hybrid discs though, to combine movie+game on one disc that would just work.

Kind of like how some CDs also contain content for use with the PC, like music videos or promo images. They still work in regular CD players and computers.
