Woohoo! I hope the game can live up to the predecessors. If I'm not fist-pumping at multiple points during the title, I will be disappointed.

The first three or four months of next year is looking a little crowded. It's not like I have a list, but every other day you hear of another game being released during that period. Nobody likes Christmas no more?

I missed out on this Apollo business, but apparently he wasn't very popular considering they already moved on to the immensely popular Edgeworth :D

I have a theory that this game might actually be showing what ol' Edgey was up to during the course of Apollo Justice, considering he was absolutely nowhere to be seen in that game, and neither was Gumshoe.
Or Maya. I'm STILL wondering what's the deal with her. And to a lesser extent Pearl.

That's a bit of a long wait, but at least we know it's coming here.

Crossing my fingers that this will make up for Apollo Justice.

No WAY it takes a year to translate the damn game.

Well, the Ace Attorney translations have created some rather nice results in the past. I can wait a bit.

Certainly wish I didn't have to, though, but what can ya do?

For every game except #4, the English translation was on the Japanese version, and had maybe a week of touchups for the US market. The third game kept most of the typos if I recall? I'm just saying, if they need a year to translate text in a videogame, they need some better translators.

@mengelsx - Most all of the other DS games except for the 4th were ports of GBA titles. So they had a lot more lead time to work on the translation since the bulk of the programming and writing was already done.

@Preston: That's correct - the translation was done for the Japanese DS re-release, not the GBA original. However, there was still some (shorter) delay between the Japanese release and the US release, despite that they could basically have released the identical cartridge (ok, maybe changing the default menu screen so people didn't have to click the 'English' button).

I had the Japanese versions of those games, so I don't know whether the US ones maybe added Spanish or something? Otherwise, probably just marketing decisions. And yes, this one really does need translating. February's not so bad, at least a firm date to look forward to. :)

Eureka? WTF? That's so lame. They're turning Miles into a dork. I mean come on, when was the last time you heard anybody says "Eureka"? Lame.

I love Ace Attorney's game's style, humor, and costume design!

But we've had several DS games. I'd like a PS3 version, with full voice acting and HD graphics (but keep it 2D)!

GBA..DS..Ps3?

The most common sense route would be the Wii. Why the PS3?

Why did they keep presenting his badge? Weird.

Anyways, I can't wait for this game! I'm re-playing Apollo Justice right now and I'm thinking about going back and doing the phoenix wright series too.

I'm guessing because it was more of a demonstration/trailer video than it was actual gameplay. It makes more sense to just use the initially-selected item/first item to continue the non-storyline dialogue rather than have the person playing fiddle around looking for the right one.

I played the game at Comic Con. It was 20 minute demo, but you actually got to play as Miles Edgeworth. The stylus controls Miles and Dick Gumshoe is your assistant. There is a "logic" portion where you connect 2 thoughts in Miles' mind to advance the game. The dialogue was crisp and funny. The story begins with a murder in Miles' office, but he was not involved because he just returned from out of the country. Capcom had some terrific giveaways and I happened to score a tin box with the Miles Edgeworth logo. This game is definitely worth waiting for!
