MCV reports that Realtime Worlds' MMO, APB, will launch its crime-infested sandbox next March. The game will be distributed on PC and Xbox 360 by EA Partners, the same division of the publishing behemoth handling Rock Band and Left 4 Dead. This would make APB just the second MMO to hit the Xbox console and the first "next-gen" game to do so, following the 2006 re-release of 2003's Final Fantasy XI.
We're currently trying to follow up with Realtime Worlds and EA for confirmation. We'll update if we hear anything back.
Update 2: Realtime Worlds: "Realtime Worlds have only ever announced a Q1 2010 launch window. Any other dates you may see are either assumptions or speculations based on this."
Update: EA reiterated that "early 2010" is its release window, also "there are currently no plans for a 360 version."

It looks interesting. Though I don't have a good PC. Are people interested in this game though?

I'm interested, but only if it comes to consoles. I have no interest in playing games on my computers.

It looks alright interesting. More so than most other upcoming games.
There are very few truly good games anymore these days, though...

So this source is obviously not to be considered fact and pure speculation due to the fact that they have listed it for release on the 360. RTW has confirmed repeatedly now (and as recently as last week) that they are only launching for the PC first, and then considering consoles from there. They have also confirmed that they are targeting a Q1 2010 release, so that includes March, so that's a safe estimation there. So unless something has significantly changed within that time, take this with a shaker of salt.
As for the question as to wheter or not people are interested in this game, that is a vast understatement.

We don't know yet.. It seems they're trying out something different rather than just having a set subscription fee, but it's all very vague. I'm definitely more interested in the game since they announced that.
Looks like a fun game, but not $15 a month fun.

Seems like we've been talking about mmo's for consoles forever now, yet they magically never show up when they're supposed to (with the exception of FF-11, but that's a terrible game). March is god of war month, and possibly mass effect 2 month, so I won't have time for a MMO.

2nd MMO? Did Phantasy Star Universe not count or something?

Well that is a SEGA game. It would not be Joystiq if they had to mention SEGA in a positive light.

This information is false, in the last Dev Video Diary that was posted, they answered Q&A submissions
The devs said plans are to only release this on the PC and MAYBE consoles later, but they had no plans for that at the moment
bummer, this rumor must have come from an awful source

I really hope this is true but I doubt it. RTW said that it is coming to PC only on release but they might explore consoles after. If this is true, I wont care about the subscription fee(as long as it not too much)

because it was just 2 weeks ago when they said that it was only being released on the PC
and for some reason, nobody understands what the word Rumor means
its false, no doubt about it
now, it may be released in march, who knows, but i am saying that its not going to be on a console at release

I would be interested if it did appear on the 360. I'm simply not interested in PC gaming anymore. What does kind of bug me though, is if someone is going to release a console version but doesn't discuss it until the last absolute moment. Either you are or you aren't. It's hard to get excited about a game that I don't know if it'll appear on a console.
