Well, i'd say this is pretty new and cutting edge as I've never played a game with reading in bed as a component.

It's really good to see that adventure games are making a comeback.

As am I. LucasArts adventure games were a staple of my childhood. These days, the best I can hope for are Action-Adventure Puzzle Platformers, or straight-out RPGs.

The fact that LucasArts seems to have snapped out of its "Star Wars shooters and/or LEGO are the only games people want to play" phase is nothing short of a miracle.

Here's hoping they'll revisit some of their old franchises, like Grim Fandango, Maniac Mansion/DOTT, Full Throttle, and Loom!

Yes it does. And an adventure game by David Firth would be the most mind twisting and imagination-raping adventure in the history of video games.

Hush now dont cry
Wipe away the teardrop from your eye
Youre lying safe in bed
It was all a bad dream
Spinning in your head
Your mind tricked you to feel the pain
Of someone close to you leaving the game of life
So here it is, another chance
Wide awake you face the day
Your dream is over...or has it just begun?

Agreed. 3D realism is nice but I care more about story. With the possible exception of Bioshock, Braid was the only game I found interesting last year. I hope this is what the industry is slowly realizing. If graphics have to suffer as a result of cutting budget to hire a good writer, by all means, do it.

I really like that as gaming graphics are reaching a threshold where it's no longer worth it to push for a little bit of extra realism, stylized graphics are making a big comeback.

Exactly. I am constantly horrified to hear about incredible games that are dismissed by the "general gaming public" because they aren't photo-realistic. I mean, they generally get a niche following, but never penetrate into the mainstream.

A unique and stylized presentation is actually what attracts me MORE to games than realistic graphics. For me, it shows the developer has a sense of style, and can apply that to HOW the game is presented, instead of just WHAT the game is presenting.

Ah this looks pretty neat. I'm glad adventure/puzzle games are making a return. Between the gritty realism, heavily brown atmosphere, or constant gore fest that has been hitting the gaming shores its good to see something that is a return to the old ways of gaming yet still feeling refreshing.

I always have my fingers crossed that Lucas Arts will buy Sierra from Vivendi. New adventure games are good and all, but personally I'm digging the remakes and would really appreciate remakes of the Sierra classics as well.

But seriously. AS IF.

I like how they managed to keep an old feel while sticking to the modern, next-gen look: brown.

Bravo, LucasArts.

This is the art cycle, when they started creating good means of realistic art the movements began like cubism. I too like this as its great to play games with style like this, mirrors edge had lovely style, and i personally hope the second (if it comes) should include a few bonus levels like the DLC

Meh, that graphic style only says "Boring and pretentious indie art-game" to me. I think I'll stay with Telltale.

Reading would be a far cry from what I've done in bed in other games re: god or war, San Andreas.

More adventure games are very welcome. It still seems so surreal that they've made such a huge come back.

This is the second time I've heard about this game and I still can't figure out where it fits in the Expanded Universe. Is it between Episodes I and II? Or does it take place after Return of the Jedi?
