Badass : The Game
.... is already taken: http://playstation.joystiq.com/2009/07/15/atluss-new-brawler-gets-a-name-badass-brawler/
It's also really annoying to hear it called this over and over again.

Badass for PS3, now called: Uncharted 2
Seriously, between this and Uncharted 2, this fall will have enough gaming action heaven for everyone.

I thought so too, but then I watched the video in this article:

He actually looks like that, at least in the first game. But you're probably right about the younger part.

Wasnt this suposed to be a stealth game? I was planing on buying this for PC, but now its simply Bourne: badass edition. Thank god for sequels like Uncharted 2, which simply keep the best of the earlier game, ups the graphics and gameplay one notch, and add a ton of new content, all really boring non-badass stuff. And really hope that Thief 4 stays to its roots and Garratt remains a stealthy swine who continues to prefer a backstab to all the action-hero badass stuff

I agree. Sometimes I just want to play the same things over and over again.

Your fanboi has blinded you. This game is going to kick ass.
BTW there is still stealth, but this trailer is about beating the people responsible for his daughters death to a bloody pulp.

this still is (mostly) a stealth game. for this sort of trailer though, they just wanted to emphasize lots of people getting the shit kicked out of them.
also, Splinter Cell already had its version of Uncharted 2. It was called Pandora Tomorrow. And Uncharted 3. It was called Chaos Theory. By the time the 5th game in a series is reached, its probably time for a major overhaul.
one last thing. YOU'RE FULL OF SHIT. In the hands-on preview of L4D2 you said "what bugs me is that, when it comes to reviews, there is no differentiation between lazy developers like Valve and those like Naughty Dog or Insomniac". Do you seriously just go around bashing every 360 exclusive, even if you go against your own former arguments? In L4D2 Valve manages to "imply keep the best of the earlier game", they "up the graphics and gameplay one notch" (better looking zombies, new crescendo events, etc.) and they "add a ton of new content" (4 new campaigns with tons of replayability). Now I know I'm not the biggest proponent of L4D2, but I don't go against my own words arguing for or against it.

sorry, i raged and forgot to tie things up.
So, in essence, because Conviction is on the 360, the sequel should be basically the same, with only minor improvements, as the last Splinter Cell game. Yet you also claim, just because L4D2 is only on the 360, that it is lazy for being basically the same, with only minor improvements, as the last L4D game.
Yeah, nice fanboy there.

Lets get a few things straight
"fanboi has blinded you" "go around bashing every 360 exclusive" "seriously just go around bashing every 360 exclusive"
Which is all rubbish - This is NOT a 360 exclusive - its on PC. And there are games on the 360 that I appreciate - Alan wake and Mass Effect in particular.
And L4d2, with barely any graphics or gameplay update "new crescendo events" notwithstanding, is simply an expansion pack. Its lazy work from Valve, and I stand by my words - and its a consistent problem with Valve the last 2-3 years, no updates in their Half-Life 2 engine, awful PS3 ports, and now L4D2.
And finally, the problem I see here with Splinter Cell is not that its lazy (in fact the developers went back to the drawing board from what I remember). The problem is that its turning away from being a stealth game to a Bourne clone, and I am appalled because I am a big fan of the stealth genre. I would be pretty happy if I were wrong, really

looks like a lot of fun! but this trailer didn't exactly scream good graphics... at a lot of points in the video I was reminded of max payne's painful animation... and what is with sam's face? @0:25 he looks like a freaking bad guy from the good old days of goldeneye! wtf has ubisoft done with this franchise?! first they take the stealth out of THE stealth franchise and now they take away the mindblowing graphics from the first 4 games?!
