Seriously, wtf is up with all these trigger glitches in games recently?

I got stuck 30 hours into GTA4 (no new missions would trigger), and got stuck in act 4 of my insane playthrough of Gears 2 (corpser is supposed to break through the wall in the cave to open up a dead end, but it doesn't trigger).

It's likely something lame like hundreds of combinations, not decisions. There aren't remotely near that many even if you consider the 2 or 3 options per scenario. Besides, many are pointless, like the lady who was arguing with her brother in law over possible birth defects.

Watch, the baby is some psycho villain that's different depending on how you solved it.

What are they going to do about the newgame+ they let you do in the first one? They already said they don't want to let people do that in ME2, but it was allowed in the first game (and necessary for some achievements), which means the person could of made different choices on that second play.
And shouldn't they at least give you something for playing through the game and getting the max level, or finding all collectibles?

And blast not having an edit system!

But what about the DLC too? Will that have some effect as well on ME2? Cause I'd hate to play the second game, and find out some area of the game is unaccesible simply because I didn't shell out cash for the first game, and possibly have NPCS in the second holding it against me.

I accidentally deleted my Mass Effect saves by clicking "delete profile and items." So, this really stings. :(

Im VERY syked about this sequel, completing Mass Effect for the third time just for a "what would i do?" game save. Was a pure evil git the first two times, dont really want half of the galaxy destroyed from the start.

The biggest choice in the game is the one you make at the end , and I don't believe that there was a save after that once the credits were over, was there?

If not there wasn't, then this choice won't make a difference in the sequel, which is crap.

maybe its saved on the character data that you use to create a new game +

Maybe, but I doubt it...because a new game+ save file would then have conflicting decision choices depending on how far into the new game+ you've played.

I'm sure the game auto-saves at that point.

Here's one. I finished the Cerberus assignment the other day, the group whom Bioware has said we will have to "work with" in ME2. When I finished off the assignment and got back to the Normandy, the guy that works for the Shadow Broker contacted me and asked me to turn over the Cerberus data that I'd recovered.

Because I'm playing as a Renegade (and I heard about the carryover into ME2), I decided to let the guy have a copy of the data, which I did not do when I played as the Goody Two-Shoes in my first playthrough. When I turned it over, he said something to the effect of "Thank you. We'll remember this if you ever need anything from us in the future."

Seems like a decent choice to be made that will carry over.

this is kind of old news. they already said that all of your little decisions will have impact, like how you dealt with that women who wanted you to kill her old partners, and a few other ones as well.

I actually don't like the idea of being forced to play through mass effect 1 a couple different ways in order to experience everything that mass effect 2 will offer. Seems like a lot of work.

Your the kind of person who hates a lot of things in life, aren't you.

It is a personalized feel for people who have played ME1. If you don't want to, don't

I love mass effect 1.

I'm just saying that I like to play through a game a couple times and "see it all".

With this build i'll have to not only play through mass effect 2 a couple times to "see it all" but ALSO play through mass effect 1 a couple times and making sure to make different decisions on all of the compatible options.

It just sounds like a headache.

I'd rather have shenmue 3.

im on my 4th, 5th playthru at least & ive got a couple saves lined up for the sequel. i usually do the same thing each time tho; recently ive been a real jerk tho, knocking out reporters and scientists and shooting crooks in the face.

if mass effect 2 is anything like the first game ill probably play thru it a half a dozen times too. i play mass effect instead of being disappointed with newer games. i really should play something else but i want that asari achievo first.

@RedSonRising

LMAO!! I love your descriptions of your playthroughs. I have to finish a couple of the other games I started in ME1. I think I'll use my initial save for the next game. I played it out as the nice guy in the first playthrough now I think I'll turn my new character into a total BIOTCH!!! LMAO!!!

I thought they made it clear in previous interviews that none of your stats or equipment carry over; just your decisions? While it would be nice to start the sequel off with all your firepower and abilities intact it would seriously imbalance your play through the game. Unless they specifically made the sequel an extension or add on to the first game much like normal DLC it wouldn't make sense to start a new continuing story with a new character that's already beefed up to begin with. That connection would be difficult to do especially if from what we've seen and heard of so far about commander Shepard's fate isn't revealed until you've played enough through the story in the sequel. Guess we won't know for sure till the game comes out! Can't wait!!!

I'm pretty sure I accidentally murdered that Admiral Ackbar-esque thug on my team. It'd be cool if he's still in the sequel so we could have a fresh start.

if there's any reason why there shouldn't be a ps3 mass effect 2, it's this. it just burries any notion that ME2 will be fine for newcomers.

newcomers start ME2 from a different point than ppl with saves from ME1.. theres plenty of room for ps3 users to start a fresh game and get to know shep.

i dont really care tho. im perfectly happy keeping ME to myself and 360 owners. and pc ppl cause they got a better inventory but i never complained about that..

I don't like the fact that I will be missing out so many parts/cutscenes from the game ... it will be a long game and I won't have the time to play through it more than twice ... so wtf bioware .... how am I suppose to enjoy some dramatic moments when my save file will hinder me from it?
