PopCap confirms Plants vs Zombies vs XBLA

In an absolutely stunning turn of events that surprised everyone in the world, PopCap Games has confirmed that Plants vs. Zombies is sprouting on XBLA. WorthPlaying heard the word straight from a PopCap mouthpiece and Shacknews confirmed.

There were no further details given about what, if anything, will change for PopCap's fastest-selling game when it reanimates itself on XBLA. We're sure that whatever the developer/publisher/kingpin does, it'll keep us up until 4AM crying about what happened to our lives.

It's a frakking PopCap game. And when a PopCap game comes to XBLA or PSN, you have to get excited for if you do not, PopCap will torture you with enormous amounts of playtime until your mind is changed.

You know, that doesn't sound half bad, actually.

I was hoping for this,,,, was.....

Unfortunately because of my boring IT job, I have completely run this game into the ground. Unless popcap offers new features, I can't be excited.....

Sitting in a cubicle with a computer isn't an uncommon job. Don't be an ass. There are many jobs that require higher education than an IT job, so don't get big in your boots. You're in a job where you say you do nothing which shows you have no drive to improve in life or actually do what you're supposed to do, so I don't know how you managed to achieve the high level of education that you claim to have achieved.

Curious to see what the controls are on this...works great on the PC, but dunno how 360 may change the gameplay. Hopefully it turns out well, love the game!

What kind of game is this? Tower Defense variant? I've heard only good things.

Yeah, when the action ramps up, it gets pretty reliant on to mouse. I wonder how the controls will translate over.

I'm interested to see this as well. A pointing device is really pretty necessary in the later, more frantic levels.

I'd like to see this on Wii and DS personally, it needs a pointing device really; I don't see a controller being the best way to play Plants vs Zombies.

Add some more content to it, and I'll buy it again...you dirty dope peddling bastards.

Honestly, this game gets so frantic in later levels that I don't see how anyone could keep up with an analog stick.

I want the equally stunning news that it is coming to the iPhone/iPod touch. This is the type of game that would work really well on the system.

Seems like an ideal game for Wii. Pointer device + a myriad of casual gamers + digital crack's deadlier cousin = success.
