Your regularly scheduled Rock Band Weekly and Rock Band Wiikly will not be seen today, as we interrupt your programming with an amalgamation of the two. Harmonix has announced the latest round of Rock Band DLC and, as post headlines would have you believe, it contains notable amounts of Blink-182, Weezer, and KISS. Don't let your parents know you're downloading any KISS, though. It totally stands for Knights in Satan's Service.

blink-182? YES. Feeling This? HELL YES. even the Rock Show and Down. Wow this is personally my favorite week of rock band, EVER. just in time for the tour too! Hopefully the drums are fun on those songs, guitar is usually boring for blink, besides I can play 90% of their stuff on real guitar it's so easy lol. still, I love this weeks DLC, thank god I just got 2k MS Points :]

I agree... I just completely agree. Very excited. Never expected feeling this (though I always hoped) to be added from blink 182.

Now if we could get some +44's when your heart stops beating... I'd be set.

I know, this is awesome. It may be for the promotion of the tour since Weezer is also available for download.

What tour are you talking about, did Blink 182 reunite when I wasn't paying attention??

They announced it a while ago they were getting back together. Now they're on tour with Weezer. Shows should start soon.

i think the Blink tour has already started coz tickets went on sale a while ago. they're coming through Toronto first with Fallout Boy as support and then a week or two later with Weezer as support.

Yea the tours have started. they played 2 in vegas and are on their way to Canada now. I'm going to hershey park august 12th :]

but yea, I'd like some +44, and I can dream that they'd add some more Angels and Airwaves (AvA, hence my name :P) a kid can dream tho lol

Put Pinkerton as a whole on there already.

Also, I'm not a fan of a lot of these live cuts for this game... they often sound muffled (Alice Cooper, Thin Lizzy). Oh well.

Nothing for me this week.. though I'm still for that metal pack from 2 weeks ago was it... those songs are hard.. might help if we (EU) had the 2 wave instruments.. though I gold star the vocals on a few of the songs..

No reason to buy Guitar Hero 5 now with the Rock Show on Rock Band!

I love KISS, but I was surprised at how un-fun playing 'Detroit Rock City' was for me.

Shouldn't the title of the post reflect only the NEW dlc instead of a mixture of new, Wii, and unplugged? Since the Wii and unplugged dlc is older, I don't think it should be in the title.

I agree. I mean, I already know what bands have been released for DLC in past weeks/months. It seems painfully obvious that the thread title should include only new DLC.

I'm not familiar with the KISS tracks, but given their relative AWESOMEness they can't be that bad. I would have preferred something more known though, like Creatures of the Night, God of Thunder, Strutter perhaps? Oh well. I'm patiently waiting for the "floodgates" to open. As for Blink-182, count "Rock Show" as one more RB has in common with GH. Is anyone keeping track of this BTW?

Stop combining Rock Band Weekly and Wiikly with misleading titles that list the bands that 360 and PS3 already have.

Why do you guys keep putting old releases (happening for the first time on Wii/PSP) in the headline? It's very misleading. At least for anyone who already bought those songs and just might want more. Is it to get more clicks?

As for the releases, I'm looking forward to My Name is Jonas. It'll be nice to try that one out in a game with a competent engine. I also checked out Damone's "Out Here All Night" on YouTube and I'll be grabbing that one too. Sounds like fun on drums.

dude its kiss live the songs are gonna be identical. Its not like these are Grateful Dead live tracks.

Yeah, Kiss is sort of like AC/DC in that the live versions aren't going to be THAT different. However, it IS annoying for people who do vocals a lot since the live versions are never the same/as good as the studio ones. I hate singing a song properly but being penalized because the singer isn't as good when it's live, especially when a live version is the only one available on Rock Band (see also - The Who DLC)

I guess it depends on weather you can accept a song being performed more than one way. I don't think of the studio recording as the "Right" one, just as a version of it.

If there are two posts, one for new DLC and one for the Wii/PSP, it'd make things clearer. Plus Joystiq gets extra clicks for having two links. Joystiq and readers both win.

There's always a difference, and it depends too, if these are from Alive! I might consider it. It better not be some crap with the replacements to screw the original guys out of performance royalties.

the weezer tracks are all top-notch sans pork & beans. that damone track is out of left field but is a fairly solid one-hit wonder. as for blink-182, my drunk roommates will most likely buy those.

Although Rock Band will never truly be complete in my heart until "Dressed To Kill" gets a downloadable album.

Hell yeah Blink 182. I was hoping for some older stuff like from Enema but I will take this. Unplugged and Lego Rock Band have better ones, but oh well. And I can probably convince my brother to buy Weezer.

It is. I only have the money for one console, and the Wii's innovative control scheme made me buy my first console in 10 years. The 360 and PS3 bore me.

You might not have to wait to long last week's DLC for 360/PS3 is this weeks Wii DLC so you never know.
